  1. What is a ClipCast?
    A ClipCast is a slideshow for news and information you find on the web. When you find something on the web that you want to share with friends, clip it to have it automatically added to your ClipCast. You can put your ClipCast on Facebook, MySpace, your blog or any other web site. You can also add any ClipCast to NetVibes, iGoogle or Pageflakes. Basically wherever you can put a YouTube video, you can also put a ClipCast.
  2. How do I start my own ClipCast?
    To start your own ClipCast, sign up now. If you have already joined Clipmarks, you can see your ClipCast at: yourusername.clipmarks.com
  3. How do I add clips to my ClipCast?
    To create your own clips, add the Clip Button to your browser. To add other people's clips to your own ClipCast, click the "share" button below any clip. To see how clipping works, visit the How-to-Clip page.

  5. How do I put a ClipCast on another web site?
    To get a ClipCast for Facebook, install the Clipmarks app. To add a ClipCast to NetVibes, iGoogle or Pageflakes, click here. To add a ClipCast to MySpace or any other site, use the embed code provided with each ClipCast.
  6. How do you see all the clips in a ClipCast?
    You can toggle through clips by using the arrows at the bottom of each ClipCast or use any of the following keyboard shortcuts:
  7. How can I comment on clips in a ClipCast?
    To add a comment to any clip in a ClipCast, click "Add Comment" on the bottom of any clip.
  8. Are the clips in My ClipCast private or public?
    When you save a clip you can choose one of three saving options: (i) Private, (ii) Public (Everywhere), or (iii) Public (Limited) Only you can see your Private clips, even if your ClipCast is on another web site. To learn more about these saving options, click here.
  9. What's the difference between my "Main ClipCast" and my other ClipCasts?
    Your Main ClipCast is the one that loads by default when your or other people visit your page ( yourusername.clipmarks.com ). You can create as many additional ClipCasts as you like. For example, your Main ClipCast could include clips about everything, while you could also create separate ClipCasts for each of your topics of interest.
  10. How do I edit or delete my clips from a ClipCast?
    Below each of your clips is an "edit" link. Click that link to edit or delete the clip.
  11. Is there an easy way to follow my favorite ClipCasts?
    Yes. Click the icon on the top of any ClipCast to add it your favorites. Click that same icon to access your list of favorites.
  12. Why does the formatting of content inside a ClipCast sometimes differ from its original state?
    Due to the way that some HTML renders in Flash, some elements may appear different within a ClipCast than they do when they're on a web page. You can click the clip title to see the clip in Classic View, or click the source URL to view the original web page.
  13. Why don't videos clipped from sites other than YouTube appear in ClipCasts?
    YouTube has specifically allowed their player to appear in other Flash applications. We are exploring enabling this with other video providers. You can watch a non-YouTube video by clicking the "Watch video" link or the source URL.
  14. What are some of the other things I can do with a ClipCast?
    • Clicking on any image with this icon on the top right will enlarge the image.
    • You can learn more about a clipper by clicking their photo or username.
    • You can play any ClipCast as a slideshow by clicking the button at the top of the ClipCast.
    • Click "Guide" at the top of any ClipCast to see any other set of clips, including the Popular, Latest Pops or Newest Clips ClipCast, or search results. If you are logged in, you can also use the Guide to access your clippers and your own ClipCasts.
    • You can email, blog or share any clip on Facebook by clicking the "share" button below that clip.
    • You can Pop a clip by clicking the Pop button below the clip.
