POPSGaia's evil twin: Is life its own worst enemy? Recent interesting research shows that life on earth may have distinct suicidal inclinations. Human destruction of the environment is but the most recent episode. If true it has interesting implication on forming of exobiological theories, and the evolution of civilizations outside our precious planet.

POPS"The Universe In Your Head" more (at source): Other physicists, however, point out that Lanza's view is fully in line with the perspective from quantum mechanics that the observer plays a huge role in how reality is observed. "So what Lanza says in this book is not new," Richard Conn Henry, a physics and astronomy professor at Johns Hopkins University, said in a book review. "Then why does Robert have to say it at all? It is because we, the physicists, do not say it - or if we do say it, we only whisper it, and in private - furiously blushing as we mouth the words. True, yes; politically correct, hell no!"

POPSBachmann Boasts About Breaking the Law: I’m Refusing to Fill Out the Census
What a rebel! She states her fears over the Census come from the fact that her #1 Enemy, ACORN, could possibly be involved in recruiting the 1.4 million people needed to go door-to-door to count every American. The comments on this clip are really quite entertaining. Here is a sampling: “Be sure to wear your tin foil hat when you answer the door.” “Oh, Shelly... whatever will we do for entertainment when you finally go all the way 'round the bend?” “At least the former head of her party had the balls to really break our laws. Torture, erasing of the 4th Amendment, illegal war, etc.... Come on Congresswoman; you can do better!! Step it up a notch. Perhaps you could just open fire on all those congress people you work with that you say are "anti-American. Then I'd be impressed” “Her oath of office requires her to swear to uphold the Constitution and the laws of the US. What does this say about Bachmann other than the fact she is dangerously imbalanced?”

POPSBeltane Fire Festival more: ‘No person neither man not woman resort or repair hereafter to the Dragon Hole, as they have done in times bye-gone, namely, in the month of May, nor shall pass thro’ the town with the piping and stirling of drums, as heretofore they have done, under the pain of twenty shillings to the poor... also that they shall make their public repentance upon ane Sabbath day in the presence of the people.’ - Kirk-session Register of Perth, May 2, 1580
