POPS Five sisters killed in Gaza while they slept Israel expects us to swallow its lame duck excuse that their attack on Gaza is justified because they are protecting Israel from home made rockets. Of course their real objective is to terrorise and demoralise the Palestinian people by beheading their democratically elected government. The Israeli government wants a compliant submissive Palestinian people who accept the Israeli occupation. Lets hope that Pakistan doesn't use the same justification to attack the US in retaliation for the bombing of its borders in June 2008 when US warplanes killed innocent civilians, including children.

POPSOPEC slashed production; crude continues to tumble Well, it influences *my* "current economic climate". Locally, gas is app. $2.50 per gal. Anyway, I'm ready for our oil to come from Iraq. Of course, if we get a Democratically controlled Washington, they'll let Iraq sell it to China who will then up-it just for us. And they'll not approve anymore refineries, or ANWAR, or off-shore drilling so that the decline of the automotive industry can continue and we'll all buy Euro-weenie cars.

POPSMcCain, Palin and New Orleans McCain's going to New Orleans: pure Machiavellianism. Listen to the Palin video. Go to youtube if there is no sound. She is an effective propagandist for oil in the way she minimizes Anwar. The majority of the American people want to drill. History show that the majority is often wrong.

POPSCrude- Crude Crude, nasty and worse. Oil exploration at its best. Thank goodness we have the EPA to protect ANWAR Alaska and the Gulf of Mexico. Ha!

POPSThis Day In History: An Open Letter To Google Dear Google comrades Sergei and Larry! The Party looks kindly at your attempts to correct and improve history by unobtrusively modifying the Google logo on notable calendar dates. For years you have zealously informed the masses about progressive and useful events like Earth Day or Earth Hour, while purposefully ignoring Memorial Day (no logo change on this reactionary American holiday). Most recently, you enlightened the unwashed about the Spanish artist Velázquez on June 6 without mentioning the Allied Invasion of Normandy on D-Day, a celebration of which would indeed be offensive to National Socialists. ~ The time is ripe for us to reinforce your amateurish efforts with our brand of historical revisionism that stands on a firm scientific foundation of the Party doctrine. The next big holiday is Independence Day. Review the following list of Party-recommended events and logos for mandatory inclusion.

POPSMalaysian Ruling BN ib Danger of Collapsing Mahathir felt that Pakatan Rakyat was a force to be reckoned with, not because it was strong or the people loved the Opposition but because of "the feeling of disappointment." When asked where the Opposition would obtain the 30 MPs, Mahathir pointed towards Sabah and Sarawak. "If we take Umno, MCA and MIC, they have their roots here (in the peninsula) but not in Sabah and Sarawak. Although you have Umno in Sabah, it is transplanted from here to there. He said even in the peninsula, there could be MPs who could cross over since they knew that they could be in the new opposition-led government."

POPSDaddy, that man was nasty to me It is a serious matter if the President of another country accuses a journalist of assisting rebels to assassinate him. But serious as it is, isn't it a bit precious for a journalist to ask President SBY for protection? The police and the courts should be the proper institutions to handle such allegations, if they had indeed been made. Getting the Press Council and assorted journalistic andpro-free press associations is also fair game. But to go running to the President just because Horta made an allegation? Precious. Precious.

POPSWhere Mahathir eats There was a time when Malaysian leaders used to frequent Jakarta restaurants. Mahathir, as the story below, went to Natrabu. And Anwar Ibrahim frequented Medan Baru, in Krekot, whose specialty, apart from the fish head curry was the sambal ganja. On wonders where present Malaysian leaders go to eat when they visit jakarta these days? Sashimi at 1001?

POPSEminent journalists of the Malay world Indonesia' own Rosihan Anwar was awarded Eminent Journalist of the Malay World in Malaysia last night. Journalist associations from Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei took part in the award. Wonder what this does to the debate about Malayness, the Malay World, the Malay Archipelago, what's Indonesia and what's Malaysia's by virtue of it being part of the Malay world (as in the argument used by a Malaysian Minister to justify its using of Rasa Sayang(e)?

POPSPolice block Malaysia protest Another pseudo democracy which doesn't believe in freedom of speech (unless the govt is manipulating it against people they don't like).

POPSGlobal Warming opens up new trade route? This is probably going to mean some positive feedback cycles in the albido affect and possibly mess with some polar bears...but on the other hand any bets as to when its going to get opened up for ecotourism? Also I wonder how this will affect the whole debate over ANWAR, with increased year round sea access?

POPSJashn E Imam E Zaman(a.s) The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) said: “Every righteous child who casts a look of mercy and affection upon his parents shall be granted, for every look of his, rewards equivalent to that of an accepted Hajj.” Those around the Prophet questioned: “O’ Prophet of Allah! Even if he were to look at them a hundred times a day?” The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him and his family) replied: “Indeed! Allah is the Greatest and Most Kind.” Biharul Anwar, Volume 74, Page 73
