POPS'War criminal' Bush blamed for global crisis Why were heads of state prevented from seeing what the protestors thought? I'm sure Bush is not kept completely out of touch with how some people think of his actions. I'm equally certain he just doesn't care.

POPSBALI: People Power Confronts Climate Change more...... The world is used to letting the US have its way, but not this time. The assembled delegations let loose a chorus of boos. Nation after nation took the floor and sounded the chords of outrage. Just like hundreds of thousands of Avaaz members told them to do, our leaders stood firm. Faced with this united front, the American representative asked to take the floor once more, and said simply, "The United States will join the consensus."

POPSPeace by Debate and not Western Military Intervention, thank you... This makes sense... if the final objective is peace.... No call for for the cowboy bull-dozer army or other belligerent nations in need of a gymnasium for thier youth to let off steam..... Let them work off their excess energy and weight doing social work and cleaning up their own nation's messes...

POPSClimate change discussed at APEC meeting APEC is is the most important international meeting to date for achieving a commitment from the developed and developing countries to take steps toward reducing CO2 emissions. Meanwhile Greenpeace claims the aspirational targets for reducing emissions as "code for a political stunt". Australia lacks the credentials to deal with the issue because it still refuses to sign the Kyoto Protocol. The Government has no real concern for the environment, and has been advised that energy efficiency and clean coal are crucial to fighting climate change. The main agenda -- to sell more coal.

POPSDowner plays down climate change rift with Malaysia Downer is our Foreign Minister who refuses to believe his ideas are not perfect. He is also pushing the Bush line on everything. A proper lackie. Australia has arrogantly set itself to be the leader and decision maker for all in this area. It is what business has told them to do. There will be a push on nuclear energy before the meeting finishes. When Downer says fruitful, he means business connections have been set up for his cronies.

POPSSydney brothels ready for APEC boom It seems that some delegates to APEC are addicted to sex. I'll leave you to picture the rest. The idea of a naked John Howard skipping naked around a bordello is too much for me.

POPSAPEC attire creates fashion headache We have traditional dress but the prime minister is such a racist that he won't even acknowledge aborigines unless he can score political points. White supremacy seems to be high on his list for Australia.

POPSProtestors and Sydney prepare for APEC Lets hope that the summit focuses on the key "issues such as poverty, security and climate change" in the Pacific region and protesters voice their opinions peacefully. It is expected the majority of protesters will be high school students concerned about globilisation. "The Stop Bush Coalition" is expected to draw the biggest numbers, an estimated 10,000 people.

POPSAPEC powers are in place Many Sydney residents are heading over the horizon. Horses are out as we have equine flu. Good place not to be. Even Bush is leaving early.
