POPSChristians and Muslims Celebrate Christmas Holidays In Baghdad Even before I can ask Interior Ministry spokesman Major-General Abdul Karim Khalaf a question, he greets me with a big smile. "All Iraqis are Christian today!" he says. Many of the people attending the Christmas celebration appear to be Muslims, with women wearing head scarves. Suad Mahmoud, holding her 16-month-old daughter, Sara, tells me she is indeed Muslim, but she's very happy to be here. "My mother's birthday also is this month, so we celebrate all occasions," she says, "especially in this lovely month of Christmas and New Year." Father Saad Sirop Hanna, a Chaldean Christian priest, is here too. He was kidnapped by militants in 2006 and held for 28 days. He knows firsthand how difficult the lot of Christians in Iraq is but, he tells me, "We are just attesting that things are changing in Baghdad, slowly, but we hope that this change actually is real. We will wait for the future to tell us the truth about this."

POPSAmerica - Land of the Ignorant Just when you think you've reached the bottom of the gene pool, you come across something like this. Quite frankly, I couldn't even make it through the entire article because it was so incoherent. This is a rag from Folsom, Ca. Perhaps someone can write and let me know what the hell is with Folsom. Never been there and if this is indicative of the town I thank my lucky stars that I've never been to their fair city. What an idiotic article. I don't even know where to start on the scope of the sheer idiocy of this piece. Someone please tell me that this is an apparition.

POPSMcCain volunteer made up robbery story Wow...she cut a 'B" on her face as part of this hoax. Something is happening here: McCain supporters are going nuts. Their campaign has been going nuts, now they are going nuts: It's all been based on unreality, sham, falsehood, lies. Trying to link Obama to terrorist (gads!)...is like this woman's hoax which portrays Obama supporters as Black muggers who slice a "B" into your face. Gads... Sometimes in history people go crazy...they see apparition...they strip naked and start having mass rallies in the streets...they commit mass suicide...they start riots or revolutions.. they pin their hopes on something like an Apocalypse This is all turning into quite a phenomenon, this is not just like watching a campaign anymore. This is like watching some video documentary entitled: The Last Days. Forget 9/11 - For the next ten days remember 911.

POPSSF Author: Gregory Frost The Nebula, Hugo, Tiptree, International Horror Guild, and World Fantasy Award finalist takes you on a journey of wonders and nightmares. It's a midnight odyssey to a shadowland where vehicles feast on vagrants . . . where Poe's final days are revealed . . . where factory workers are exploited by an apparition of the Virgin Mary . . . and where Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart pinwheels through the corridors of Time. On this pilgrimage we discover the apocalyptic entity that hides in a Ukranian village. We're taken to a crossroads where the Castle of Otranto bleeds into the Depression-Era South accompanied by the rollicking music of Kid Ory and Bix Beiderbecke. Frost's fourteen excursions include an account of the horror that dwells in Jack the Ripper's pocket watch, and features a brand new novella -- a slam-bang interplanetary "Road" picture peppered with Hope & Crosby japery and more than a dash of Flash Gordon. POPSTop Ten Ghost Photos - BONUS (very scary!) "The lady in the color photo is my granny," she says. "She lived on her own until age 94, when her mind started to weaken and had to be moved to an assisted living home for her own safety. At the end of the first week, there was a picnic for the residents and their families. My sister took two pictures that day, and this is one of them. It was taken on Sunday, 8/17/97, and we think the man behind her is my grandpa who passed away on Sunday, 8/14/84. We did not notice the man in the picture until Christmas Day, 2000 (granny had since passed away), while browsing through some loose family photos at my parents' house. When I arrived at my parents' house that Christmas day, my sister handed me the picture and said "Who do you think this man behind granny looks like?" It took a few seconds for it to sink in.The black and white photos show that it really looks like him."

POPSTop Ten Ghost Photos - #10 This photo was taken in 1936 at Raynham Hall in Norfolk, England, by two photographers of Country Life magazine. Raynham Hall was long reputed to be haunted by the ghost of Lady Dorothy Townshend, who died in 1726. The ghost had been seen on many occasions throughout the years when it was spotted descending these stairs by the Country Life photographers, who quickly took a snapshot. This is considered by many to be the most highly regarded and reputable photograph by a ghost yet made.
