POPSIsrael Denying Access to Gaza Injured I'd love to see what sophistry Israeli supporters will give justifying access by humanitarian groups to the injured in the Gaza Strip. In my view, there can be no justification. Now the UN is closing down its operations Gaza because its sites for humanitarian efforts are coming under attack like the 2 UN schools that suffered airstrikes. Israel makes a big deal about how they warn residents to take refuge. But it's a meaningless warning if residents take refuge in places that the Israelis have no compunction about attacking.

POPSBush’s Tropical Paradise This area is in international waters. The U.S. can’t enforce protection of an area that isn’t theirs. He ‘granted’ the highest level of protection as if he is king of the world’s oceans? What arrogance. Who does he think he’s fooling? You can bet that if U.S. commercial fishing fleets were fishing here, this bogus piece of fluff would not have even been considered. He’s trying to gain credibility as an environmentalist. Looking at all the harm his administration has done already, this bogus move is not going to cut it.

POPSBush to suddenly go green?!?! Highly uncharacteristic of him....and hardly in line with his recent wildlife threats. (http://clipmarks.com/clipmark/1D0AEB68-FAE3-4C9F-9D45-CB87ABA3BFCC/) But i'd fully support this move as a going-away-present from GWB.

POPS30 IDF Soldiers Wounded In Gaza; 2 Serious But Stable The artillery fire aimed to detonate Hamas explosive devices and mines planted along the border area before troops marched in. Palestinian witnesses said the artillery barrage caused a large explosion in Gaza City as well as a series of blasts stitching the nearby frontier with Israel. Channel 10 television quoted a witness as saying that Israel was shelling targets along the entire length of the shared border. Meanwhile, Israel Air Force warplanes stepped up airstrikes on Gaza, bombing the main road that runs throughout the strip in three different spots, making travel from one side of the Strip to the other close to impossible. Palestinian health officials in Gaza reported Saturday evening that 13 people had been killed in another IAF bombing of a mosque in Beit Lahiya. They said that 26 Palestinians had died in IAF raids after dark Saturday.

POPSLaw May Limit Service Animals Legislation is being proposed which will limit service animals to dogs & other "common domestic animals" just as biologists are recognizing that numerous other types of animals can be very useful in this area. Monkeys & miniature horses are becoming quite common seem to work quite well.

POPSIDF Phones Gaza Residents To Warn Them Of Imminent Strikes Sources familiar with Ghayan's record said he was one of the people who encouraged Gazans to climb on rooftops to prevent bombings. During the Second Lebanon War, the Israel Air Force dropped pamphlets from the sky and called residents of several Lebanese towns to tell them they were about to begin bombing the area south of the Latani River and they should evacuate the area for their own safety.

POPSCrocodiles falling victim to cane toads Cane toads were imported by fools who thought they could help with a problem facing the sugar growers. They are spreading over Australia, killing unsuspecting predators as they go (They are poisonous to eat). Our government is doing so little that I think they must be protected.

POPSIndia v. Pakistan, and it definitely aint cricket Read into this what you want. Two nuclear armed countries face off across an acrimonious border and Pakistan seems to be taking troops from the Afghan border to it's neighbour in the South. What does it mean? Cheaper drugs for those who put dollars into the pockets of those who are murdering British, American and Nato soldiers in Afghanistan.

POPSAbsolutely Amazing Natural Phenomena #1 The collision with the winds coming from the Andes Mountains causes the storms and associated lightning, a result of electrical discharges through ionised gases, specifically the methane created by the decomposition of organic matter in the marshes. Being lighter than air, the gas rises up to the clouds, feeding the storms. Some local environmentalists hope to put the area under the protection of UNESCO, as it is an exceptional phenomenon, the greatest source of its type for regenerating the planet's ozone layer.
