POPSSchwarzenegger to the rescue of homeowners I have to say, i think this guy has been an awesome governor. I love how aggressive and ballsy he is. Especially love his approach regarding the environment and alternative sources of energy. I wish he could run for president.

POPSFreebase - a database about everything Part of what makes this open database unique is that it spans domains, but requires that a particular topic exist only once in Freebase -- even if it might normally be found in multiple databases. For example, Arnold Schwarzenegger would appear in a movie database as an actor, a political database as a governor, and in a bodybuilder database as a Mr. Universe. In Freebase, however, there is only one topic for Arnold Schwarzenegger that brings all these facets together. The unified topic is a single reconciled identity, which makes it easier to find and contribute information about the linked world we live in.

POPSThey have made fools of themselves The federal government has been doling out more than $5 billion annually for research into climate change and alternative energy. A generation ago, there were only a handful of climatologists around the world. Now there are legions of taxpayer-funded climatologists, and scientists and public health professionals from many disciplines also hooked up to the climate gravy train. How many outspoken politicians and celebrities will be willing to acknowledge that they have made fools of themselves? I suppose that California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page, Madonna and others could at least jet on back to their hypocritical Green lifestyles with a clear conscience of sorts.

POPSArnold Schwarzenegger is Your Father This site has been around for ages but I wasn't sure if anyone has clipped it before. The site is called is called "Eric Conveys an Emotion" and there's a bunch of different "emotions" to look at as portrayed by Eric. Some of them are really funny such as this one which...well it conveys what the title says.

POPSSan Francisco ups minimum wage to $9.14 an hour Good news for minimum wage workers in San Francisco! Six states increased their minimum wage as of January 1st. Twenty-three states mandate a higher minimum wage than the federal government. Federal minimum wage is STILL unchanged since 1997--a pitiful $5.15 per hour. Disgraceful.

POPSSchwarzenegger: Turn Off Spanish TV You tell them Arnold! All of this Spanish availability is creating more division among the country and causing problems in communicating with law enforcement, emergency personnel, etc.

POPSArnold and I Agree!!! Climb on the hypocrisy express, fueled by the LDS infusion of millions of dollars. Congratulations, good citizens of California. What rights are you next proposing to strip from your citizenry?

POPSMajor solar initiative in California This is a huge deal - highlighting the opportunity for utilities to embrace alternative sources of energy (such as solar and wind) to meet their customer's energy needs. “By harnessing the clean, renewable energy of the sun that is abundant in California, these innovative solar projects are helping to meet our long-term energy and climate change goals,” Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger said. “These projects are evidence that California’s ingenuity is spurring a clean tech boom that will bring companies and investment dollars to California while reducing the state's carbon footprint.” Why in the world don't words like that come from our President??? All he wants to talk about is drilling for more oil!

POPSWeighing Parole For Killers I guess we could argue that there should be no parole for killers, and that would be a black and white argument. I'm sure black and white feels pretty damn good to the victim's families. One thing I would like to say is I think some on CM feel as though clippers must agree 100 percent with the clip or we wouldn't clip the article. Not true, at least in my case and I welcome polite, concise, adult conversation on any clip. Opposing views are always welcome and can lead to meaningful dialog and in the spirit of that, I feel this clip asks the reader to dig deep on the concept of forgiveness in our society. Is that concept worth considering? The answer can be a very complex one with good arguments on both sides.

POPSRepublicans Dirty Election Trick Delayed But Still Alive Of note is the manner in which they left the state to go ahead an allocate 2 electoral votes to the overall winner. One presumes that Republicans even crafted that in anticipation of a move towards this happening in every state. This kind of voting is closer to popular vote but with each state giving its 2 electoral (senator) votes to the overall winner it favors the republicans. The republicans usually win a majority of states because they are supported in the rinky dink states like North Dakota and Wyoming. Gotta love those Republicans. Want to give Iraq Democracy (laugh snort) but craft skewed elections in the U.S.A. Stinking Jerks.

POPSObama endorsed by CA Republican Governor's Wife (Maria Shriver) More: "Every single person can come to you and tell you, 'You should vote for this person' or 'You should vote for that person.' `It's not right to speak up. It's not right to speak out,' " Shriver said, her voice echoing through the arena."But this is a moment to have a conversation with yourself, not anyone else. Have a conversation with your own heart. And ask yourself, 'What kind of America do I believe in?' "

POPSFour examples of the unwisdom of assuming that we know all we need to know about the climate The Murdoch diktat: Rupert Murdoch, who owns or controls much of the world’s media of communication, issued an edict to all his editors in the early summer of 2007 to the effect that they were in future to reflect his opinion that “global warming” was the worst threat faced by humankind. Murdoch cited the long drought in Australia as evidence for “global warming” – an instance of the post hoc ergo propter hoc fallacy. Within two weeks of the Murdoch diktat, much of Australia had been inundated by unprecedented floods. Given the proven unpredictability of the climate, anyone who says, “The Debate Is Over” is merely displaying scientific ignorance of a long-established result in elementary chaos theory as applied to the climate.

POPSCalifornia asks for Fed Troops I say let the fires burn. Concentrate on protecting life and property. As far as the fires go, they will burn themselves out. Fires have existed on Earth since the beginning of time. Let them burn.
