POPSVulberability of the power grid It's incredible to me that more isn't being done to make the United States power grid more state of the art. That means the ability to transfer greater amounts of electricity over larger distances with more reliability and security. It seems to me that this is just a disaster waiting to happen.

POPSWhen you get around to it, check this out Structured procrastination requires a certain amount of self-deception, since one is in effect constantly perpetrating a pyramid scheme on oneself. One needs to be able to recognize and commit oneself to tasks with inflated importance and unreal deadlines, while making oneself feel that they are important and urgent. This is not a problem, because virtually all procrastinators have excellent self-deceptive skills also. And what could be more noble than using one character flaw to offset the bad effects of another?

POPSAn Animated Version of the Mahabarata More from the site: "This is not a strictly accurate historical portrayal of events, but a poetic, fantastic interpretation of the original text," says Grant Morrison. "The world of MBX is a place of incredible art and technology. This kingdom of sages, warriors, noble men and women is stronger, faster, fitter and smarter than we are, but still prey to the same emotional foibles that lead us all into disaster."

POPS"Do the robot", in the art of dance, of course. Last quote from him: "If you think about it, we are all made of mechanisms and neurones and codes and stuff. Human hardware and software. That's more fundamental to dance than characters and stories, isn't it?" Interesting

POPSPublic Works, Work “There is no better time than today” to launch a major public works program. That’s not a quote from some lefty do-gooder, but from the head of the National Association of Business. Corporate executives are now joining labor leaders, mayors, and other progressives who see the urgent need to invest in and rebuild America, creating new infrastructure and new middle-class opportunities all across our land.

POPSKagoshima - A Temple 4 sale ! There are layers of glass, layers of wood, so there are literally layers piling up on top of each other. We have about 450 layers of plywood making the height of the building. The glass steps in the building will then be 6 layers making 150 mm of very chunky glass. The final design is one scanned piece of fabric, which we selected from a lot of different models. We had to change very, very little in the computer. How much money do you need? Who should buy your temple? If we could get around 60 companies or families to each sponsor a layer of the temple, then we would almost be there. One layer costs 150,000 pounds The priest himself is not in a hurry, though - he is Buddhist! (laughs)
