POPSShould adult adoptees have rights to their birth certificates? November is National Adoption Month and I am going to try and highlight some of the concerns going on in the field of adoptions and post-adoption mental health (my specialty) to raise some more awareness on the topic. I am going to try and be fair and show both sides of the issues. Basically, I want to hear your thoughts and concerns. Tweet me a reply or post a comment below... The article clip below asks the questions of why states don't let adult adoptees have access to their birth certificates? What are your thoughts on it?

POPSHow easy is it to gather $1 each from 10000 people? Still working on this project to raise funds for the aboriginal children education. How much more time we have? Only about 30 more hours to go. It is our last call. We set a high target, but we believe it is worth trying. After all, we need only $1 each from 10000 people by end of tomorrow. :) I am sure there are heaps of people out there who are ready to offer a hand if they got to know about this. For the sceptic, check this out. It is an official fund-raising event by one of the leading newspapers in Australia, the Sun-Herald. It is fair dinkum.

POPSWhy does our society hate children?
As a person without kids, I agree entirely about the need for patience. Kids are part of life, and adults should not default to being nasty to or about them. More: Several folks on this and other sites pointed out how much money they would pay for a child-free flight. You know what? I'd pay just as much for a child-friendly flight - where reasonably behaved kids can fly without fear of glares from miserable old ladies, put-off hipsters, and misanthropic businessmen… Indeed, when we took our son on his first cross-country flight, he had a bad time. He screamed, he was in pain from the air pressure, and generally wasn't a happy camper. People were okay, but I still remember That Guy. He came up to me and said, "I have two kids. I've been where you are. Hang in there, it'll get better." In my life, I love my wife, my child, my family, a handful of close friends, and That Guy. I hope he's finding money or falling in love or getting elected mayor somewhere right now.

POPSThose Who Shouldn't Breed Paid Not To? This is interesting. If this works in New Zealand, it should automatically happen in the USA. This would give child abusers, and those that can not afford children a financial incentive not to.

POPSPraises to Obama
But Obama’s skin color has nothing to do with this. Does anyone interested in retaining their merit badge for intellectual honesty really want to argue that Condi Rice or J.C. Watts would’ve spawned a dozen-and-counting tribute videos? This is about brainwashing our children into Leftist identity politics. Sure, the schools can argue that they had some kind of parental permission — which, if true, is somehow even more disturbing — but who even considers doing something like this with young minds? That’s a rhetorical question. There was some guesswork, but to the best of our ability the videos run from oldest to youngest, starting with high schoolers. We list the name of the school and the date the video was posted. From there, if it could be found (or a confident guess made), you’ll find the schools’ website, followed by the original title given to the video and any notes added by whoever uploaded to YouTube. Each video has also been transcribed so you can follow the bouncing

POPSAre dads valued as good parents in society? As this article illustrates, I think the answer is usually no. Most dads differ to moms when it comes to parenting or they resort to authoritarian ideas of disciplinary roles. This has changes, fortunately, over the years and more fathers are taking a shared role in parenting. What else can we do to help dads get involved? How can parenting experts encourage dads to come to parenting classes? Share your thoughts or tweet us a reply!

The Boyzone, 33, admitted he'd discussed starting a family with his civil partner Andy Cowles. ‘The one big thing I see in my life is children,' he said. ‘I'd love to be a dad. Andrew and I are always talking about how amazing it would be. ‘It is something that we need to look into properly. 'But I don't think I'd ever feel fully fulfilled in my life if I didn't experience the job of being a father.'
