POPSWarning: Unsanitised US photos of Gaza. Pretty tame, really! My selection of the 34 photos, as the majority only promote the 'Israeli Defence Force' military that massacre the children and civilians of Gaza. Photos in the great US media tradition of being total bias against the Arabs and the democratically elected Hamas. You might expect that after Iraq and the WMD proportionate lies that the penny might drop and they'd learn a little. Obviously being bottle fed and in-bed-with the Zionist makes life a lot more comfortable than risking being 'accidentally' killed by a regretful Zionist bullet. Murdering Americans or reporters is no big deal for the Zionists. USS Liberty gives the cue that dead Americans gains you allies and dollars!!!

POPSHow the city hurts your brain One of the main forces at work is a stark lack of nature, which is surprisingly beneficial for the brain. Studies have demonstrated, for instance, that hospital patients recover more quickly when they can see trees from their windows, and that women living in public housing are better able to focus when their apartment overlooks a grassy courtyard. Even these fleeting glimpses of nature improve brain performance, it seems, because they provide a mental break from the urban roil

POPS30 IDF Soldiers Wounded In Gaza; 2 Serious But Stable The artillery fire aimed to detonate Hamas explosive devices and mines planted along the border area before troops marched in. Palestinian witnesses said the artillery barrage caused a large explosion in Gaza City as well as a series of blasts stitching the nearby frontier with Israel. Channel 10 television quoted a witness as saying that Israel was shelling targets along the entire length of the shared border. Meanwhile, Israel Air Force warplanes stepped up airstrikes on Gaza, bombing the main road that runs throughout the strip in three different spots, making travel from one side of the Strip to the other close to impossible. Palestinian health officials in Gaza reported Saturday evening that 13 people had been killed in another IAF bombing of a mosque in Beit Lahiya. They said that 26 Palestinians had died in IAF raids after dark Saturday.

POPSTrees to be Mulched Awesome move by the city of Buffalo! Too bad mulch won't be available to any city resident that want it. They should also give information about how much the city is reducing our carbon footprint by composting/ mulching trees. I hope that Lardon Construction is doing the service for free. If the city website had links to both Lardon and Grassroots gardens that would be super cool, but perhaps too much to hope for.

POPSYet another taser death SJ California "The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office is conducting an investigation to be monitored by the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. Taser stun-guns are largely unregulated and police departments don't mandate strict controls on their use. In 2005 the ACLU of Northern California released a critical report after studying Taser use at 50 police departments. Their findings indicate that since 1999 at least 148 people in the United States and Canada have died after police shocked them with Tasers." Activists in San Jose are calling for an immediate end to the use of taser stun-guns in that city. "

POPSCity hit by 'legal to pee' prank "We are taking the signs down as quickly as possible and if anyone spots one of the illegal signs we ask them to please contact the city council so they can be removed." The notice reads: "In an attempt to reduce late night public nuisance, during the holiday period, Nottingham City Council has designated several public urination areas across the city. "This urination area will be cleaned daily between the hours of 5am and 6am."

POPS The Adoration Of The Magi 9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. 10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. 11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. 12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

POPSPolitical Tactics: The Cloward-Piven Strategy Most Americans to this day have never heard of Cloward and Piven. But New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani attempted to expose them in the late 1990s. As his drive for welfare reform gained momentum, Giuliani accused the militant scholars by name, citing their 1966 manifesto as evidence that they had engaged in deliberate economic sabotage. "This wasn't an accident," Giuliani charged in a 1997 speech. "It wasn't an atmospheric thing, it wasn't supernatural. This is the result of policies and programs designed to have the maximum number of people get on welfare." Cloward and Piven never again revealed their intentions as candidly as they had in their 1966 article. Even so, their activism in subsequent years continued to rely on the tactic of overloading the system.

POPSResearchers Find Ancient Coins In Jerusalem's City Of David The authority said that while different coins had been minted during this emperor's reign, the coins found at the site represent "one well-known type." In that style, the emperor is clad with military garb and is holding a cross in his right hand. On the other side is the sign of the cross. Authorities said the excavation of the building where the hoard was discovered is in its early stages. They are attempting to learn about the building and its owner and the circumstances of its destruction. "Since no pottery vessel was discovered adjacent to the hoard, we can assume that it was concealed inside a hidden niche in one of the walls of the building. It seems that with its collapse, the coins piled up there among the building debris," Ben-Ami and Tchekhanovets said.

POPSAncient Egyptian Temples Temples were found everywhere. Each city had a temple built for the god of that city. The purpose of the temple was to be a cosmic center by which men had communication with the gods. As the priests became more powerful, tombs became a part of great temples. Shown below is a typical temple flood plan with the purposes of each section given. Go to source.
