Michelle McMullen, Missing and Wanted
Delilah1234
by Delilah1234  Yesterday 12:04 PM
There are so many questions and accusations surrounding the disappearance of Michelle McMullen, the young mother of a 6 year old, Jayden. Michelle was reported to be taking classes online and had transferred to a college in Louisiana to complete her on campus studies. Apparently she decided to bring her son back to Harrisburg, PA to stay with her parents while she finished her schooling. On the night of September 28, it is reported that Michelle dropped Jayden off at a friend's home in Harrisburg, who, by the way, was not expecting her nor had made prior arrangements to keep Jayden, turned around and headed back to Louisiana, a 17 hour drive.

Branchflower Report: Contradicts Itself: Ignores Facts and Law
merrie
by merrie  Yesterday 6:20 AM    1
No, indeed, Sen. French and Mr. Branchflower dearly hope most Americans won't look past the headlines generated by this ridiculous farce of a report. French and Branchflower hope that Americans will be misled into thinking this report is from someone whose judgment or opinions actually count for something — instead of being from a hitman hired to complete a political hatchet job, as it actually is. This report changes absolutely nothing, except that it will be manipulated politically by Obama supporters and Palin haters in an attempt to drive more potential voters into taking sides with Trooper Mike Wooten — a proven child abuser (Tasered his own 10-year-old stepson on a lark) . . . . UPDATE Even the Anchorage Daily News is misrepresenting I just received an email update from it in which it claims that "Today Alaska legislators found Palin did abuse her power in the 'Troopergate' controversy." That's absolutely false — the Alaska Legislature is not in session

Turning Facts Into Speculation

Let a bisexual woman say for once and all that all women are NOT bisexual. How silly to put up one picture of a man who looks like a player with bad hair and bad jewelry and a huge package swathed in purple and make a statement that all women are bisexual because they found the second picture of the woman to be more appealing. Bisexuality is very complex and most likely a variant. Does that mean there aren't a lot of women who are bisexual and closeted? Of course not. Is attraction based on more than just the image in the retina? YES, YES, YES. Do I have to post a link to a video of PINK to forget all of this? DUH.

Why Republican Base loves Sarah Palin
thinkingblue
by thinkingblue  10-10-2008    2
This article. goes right to the heart of why the Republican base is so in love with Sarah Palin. She doesn't give them facts, she gives them the red-meat they lust for. I'm sure most, can remember people like Palin, in high school. The bubbly types, who dub anyone who doesn't fit their interpretation of what's "IN", a pariah. Yes, they have a blueprint of what is "IN", the right style, a snooty air, a superficial manner will get you, "IN". As bad as this exclusivity is, it could be tolerated if they also had a "live and let live" attitude. But unfortunately, anyone who crosses their path, who's not "IN" they will socially banish. They do this, by falsely labeling, and contriving suspicions of any non-"IN", creating an impression that something is shockingly wrong with anyone who, by their calculations, cannot be part of their "IN" crowd. But what's most perplexing is... It's one thing to behave like this in a state of childhood but carried into adulthood? Mind boggling! :-?

McCain Claims Obama Dishonorable & Dangerous
citizenbfk
by citizenbfk  10-7-2008
This site has been put up by the Obama campaign: http://www.keatingeconomics.com/ This site, above, tells the truth and gives facts about the last banking scandal -- in which John McCain was involved. The guy at the center of the scandal went to jail. McCain got officially censored by the Senate. It's the Republicans who have PROVED themselves dishonorable and dangerous -- who led us into the black stupid hole of Iraq War -- who destroyed our economy. We can't let these warmongers and liars continue to rule our country. We need to Defeat Republicans! Now. Later start the war crime trials and trials for shredding the Constitution and deliberately leading a nation into war based on lies, torture against the Geneva convention, etc. These vampires and blood suckers will not die till we drive a firm stake into their hearts. Every word out of their mouths is false and dangerous. Vote Obama.

U.S.Fed Rally Fizzles: Emperor Has No Clothes

At the same time the head of the U.S. Federal Reserve was testifying before Congress (Oct. 7, 2008) about how his $700-billion dollar give away to Wall Street would help to heal the economy.... ...at this very same moment the Wall St. Stock Market was dropping close to 300 points. It dropped about 300- points the day before (after being down almost 800) It's like this: Let's attack Iraq because they have Weapons of Mass Destruction. Let's attack Iraq because they are linked to 9/11. Let's attack Iraq because they were prime suspects in anthrax attacks a week after 9/11. With these alleged facts motivating the nation it was easy to stampede the Congress and nation into war -- fact ALL proven untrue. Now the same thing being done with the economy, we're treated to the Head Banker (and now/then the President one hour later) saying how much this will help while we can see with our eyes the Stock Market falling fast. What sickness! What lies! DEFEAT ALL REPUBLICANS is

Ayers and Obama

The fact that they are now calling Obama a terrorist because of this is outrageous, even given all the facts. Assume that Obama knew Ayers history, so what? Are you going to resign in protest from a charitable board, or refuse to be recruited because 30 years ago the guy recruiting you was a bomber protesting the Vietnam War, gave himself up to the FBI, who (shock and dismay) blew the intelligence so they had no case. That makes you a terrorist? I must be a hardened criminal because I worked on a loading dock once with a guy who I knew was a loan shark. John McCain consorted with financial criminals who stole money from poor retirees who lost everything in the S&L crisis, he must be a criminal too and a thief and someone who would let retirees pensions disappear on purpose. Actually he's also a racist because he accepted an endorsement from a pastor who was know as a racist. No wait, he's a rampant liberal because he consorted and even sposored legislation with Ted Kennedy.

CNN Calls BS on Palin's 'Terrorist' Claim
Wisco

The McCain campaign has made a big thing about how they plan on going negative . Apparently, this is the best they can do -- guilt by association. McCain-Palin desperately needs to change the subject from the economy, but this strategy is pretty certain to backfire. Every time they come out with one of these things, Obama can say, "See? They don't want to talk about the economy. They want to drag this down in the dirt. They're out of material." Obama seems pretty hard to throw off message, so they're going to have to do better than this. And I don't think they can.

But, on Debate Night, the official Obama website was still boasting that he would meet Ahmadinejad “without preconditions”. “My friend John McCain voted 422 times against tax cuts for the middle classes. Let me repeat that so the American people are clear on this. My friend John McCain voted 673 times against tax cuts for the middle classes.” The problem was that it all sounded drearily senatorial. When Regular Joe Six-Pack Bluecollar Biden tried to match her on the Main Street cred, it rang slightly wacky. “Look,” he said, “All you have to do is go down Union Street with me in Wilmington or go to Katie’s Restaurant or walk into Home Depot with me, where I spend a lot of time.” As for Katie’s Restaurant, ah, I’m sure it was grand but apparently it closed in 1990. In the Diner of the Mind, the refills are endless and Senator Joe is sitting shootin’ the breeze over a cuppa joe with a couple other regular joes on adjoining stools while Betty-Jo...

Thomas Sowell Opines --- Do Facts Matter?
merrie
by merrie  10-4-2008    2
So did Bush's Secretary of the Treasury, five years ago. Yet, today, what are we hearing? That it was the Bush administration "right-wing ideology" of "de-regulation" that set the stage for the financial crisis. Do facts matter? We also hear that it is the free market that is to blame. But the facts show that it was the government that pressured financial institutions in general to lend to subprime borrowers, with such things as the Community Reinvestment Act and, later, threats of legal action by then Attorney General Janet Reno if the feds did not like the statistics on who was getting loans and who wasn't. Is that the free market? Or do facts not matter? Then there is the question of being against the "greed" of CEOs and for "the people." Franklin Raines made $90 million while he was head of Fannie Mae and mismanaging that institution into crisis. Who in Congress defended Franklin Raines?
