I myself rarely use Google to find things. Between social media sites, RSS readers, news aggregators and ecommerce sites, it's rare that i need Google to help me find what i'm looking for. Honestly find it surprising that their stats are still so strong...but i suppose it would not shock me if someday we look back on search and think of it as being so web 1.0. That said, even if Google Search ultimately slows down, they are well positioned to be the advertising partner for whoever/whatever takes their place.
