POPSObama's recognitions/honors while a Senator Distinguished service recognitions received during his four years as a U.S. Senator. You are certainly free to disagree with Obama, but the suggestion that his service as a Senator is less than exemplary is simply ill-informed propaganda.

POPSSinger and Songwriter Legend Isaac Hayes Died Today He appeared in episodes of The A-Team and Miami Vice, though his acting wasn't limited to the small screen. Hayes also had roles in films such as Shaft (1971), Escape from New York (1981), I'm Gonna Git You Sucka (1988) and Johnny Mnemonic (1995). In a tragic twist of fate, Hayes most recently filmed a small role playing himself in the upcoming movie Soul Man, starring Bernie Mac, who died yesterday at the age of 50 from pneumonia. Italy has not participated in the contest since 1997 because of the lack of interest from RAI and from the Italians themselves...picture 1958 - Domenico Modugno and Nel blu, dipinto di blu (Volare) - in the US, where it has become commonly known as Volare, and got two Grammy Awards. It is one of few Eurovision songs that has reached #1 at the US singles charts. At the 50th anniversary show "Congratulations" in 2005, it was elected the 2nd best Eurovision entry ever.
