POPSPalin a Good Christian Soldier Well, there goes her cred in the Arab street. But then, I never thought for a moment that the McCain/Palin ticket was focused on peace in the Middle East. Her proclamation of what amounted to a call for a Crusade just might fit perfectly with the bomb, bomb, bomb - Iran mentality of McCain. These are dangerous people. Unless you wish to keep squandering billions in revenue and wasting countless lives in needless wars they must be defeated in November.

Are they less tolerant of groups planning on exercising their right to freedom of speech? Perhaps the police were taking their motto, to ‘Serve and Protect’, a tad bit too seriously when they busted in with guns drawn in order to issue a fire code violation. POPSDoes John McCain think Women are that stupid? Do women care more about having a token example on any ticket over finding a woman who won't support a women's right to choose? Someone who has limited experience? Blacks won't vote for Obama just because he is black, and women won't vote for women just because of token gender. I hope we are all SMART enough to look at the issues beyond race or gender.

POPSTaliban Launches Large Coordinated Assaults The Taliban claimed responsibility for all three attacks in Khost. Their spokesman, Zabiullah Mujahed, reached by telephone at an unknown location, said that 15 suicide bombers, equipped with machine guns and vests packed with explosives, with 30 militants backing them up, attacked the base, one of the largest foreign military bases in Afghanistan. He claimed that some of the bombers had gotten inside the base and had killed a number of American soldiers and destroyed equipment and helicopters. This last claim was denied by General Azimi of the Afghan military.
