POPS Americans Believe Entrepreneurs Will Revive Economy Because they understand the role of entrepreneurs as a creator of jobs, Americans are looking to business leaders instead of government, by a two-to-one margin, to lead the way out of the economic mess. A majority of people (56 percent) trust small business owners to guide the economy, compared with only 14 percent who trust members of Congress. While, more than 60 percent of people surveyed support the federal government increasing its regulation of the market, more than a third think Congress is in danger of creating too much regulation as it reacts to this crisis. "History has repeatedly demonstrated that new companies and entrepreneurship are the way to bolster a flagging economy. The American people understand this," Schramm said.

POPSLet's junk the myths and celebrate what we've got Moreover, we need to become responsible versus petty humans; in the words of the article "When you see nothing but junk, create quality. Where quality is hard to find, curate it, adding your own seal of approval with a link. When you read inaccuracies and misunderstandings, add facts, corrections, context and journalism. If people on the internet get things wrong, educate them. When you hear the noise of people talking online, listen." Thumbs up.

POPSDo Our Political Beliefs Have a Biological Basis? It's a golden rule of democracy that people are free thinkers. There's just one problem: we aren't wired that way—not, at least, according to a new study that probes past the rational mind in search of a biological basis for our political beliefs. The results seem to suggest that our ideas about the world are shaped by deep, involuntary reactions to the things we see.

POPSIn a world with so few certainties.. Friday night's debate is still clearly up in the air. It's still very difficult to follow McCain's logic of why debating Friday night would keep the candidates out of the debate in Washington over the state of the economy. I think we all need to hear them articulate their ideas on what they'll do for the economy as soon as possible. Yes- when Congress acts on the "bailout", the implications will be huge, but the economic conversation needs to continue long after this round and November is coming soon...
