POPS Obama's Disdain for Constitution That's why they are "so-called Founders" to him. Here is Thomas Jefferson's first inaugural address, March 4th, 1801: "A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government." Thomas Jefferson, "so-called Founder." Thomas Jefferson: "Congress has not unlimited powers to provide for the general welfare, but only those specifically enumerated." So-called Founder. John Adams, A Defense of the Constitutions of Governments of the United States of America, 1787: "The moment the idea is admitted into society that property is not as sacred as the law of God, and that there is not a force of law and public justice to protect it, anarchy and tyranny commence."

POPSUS founded as a Christian Nation Most of the fifty-five Founding Fathers who worked on the Constitution were members of orthodox Christian churches and many were even evangelical Christians. The first official act in the First Continental Congress was to open in Christian prayer, which ended in these words: "...the merits of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Savior. Amen". Sounds Christian to me. Ben Franklin, at the Constitutional Convention, said: "...God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?" John Adams stated so eloquently during this period of time that; "The general principles on which the fathers achieved Independence were ... the general principles of Christianity ... I will avow that I then believed, and now believe, that the general principles of Christianity are as etemal and immutable as the existence and attributes of God." more at source

POPSThe Next Culture War "During this period, debt exploded. In 1960, Americans’ personal debt amounted to about 55 percent of national income. Our current cultural politics are organized by the obsolete culture war, which has put liberals on one side and conservatives on the other. But the slide in economic morality afflicted Red and Blue America equally. If there is to be a movement to restore economic values, it will have to cut across the current taxonomies. Its goal will be to make the U.S. again a producer economy, not a consumer economy."

POPS222nd Anniversary of the Signing of Our Constitution at the Philadelphia (Constitution) Convention in 1787
Like many of you, I have devoted much of my life to ensure that the legacy of liberty, "endowed by our Creator" and codified by our Founders in the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution, is sustained in our day, and preserved for our posterity. "Liberty must at all hazards be supported. We have a right to it, derived from our Maker. ... Our obligations to our country never cease but with our lives." "John Adams Unfortunately, the current Democrat hegemony does not share our love for this great nation, this greatest experiment in human history, and is bent on terminating the last vestiges of our constitutional Rule of Law, replacing it with their "enlightened" version of rule of men. "Of those men who have overturned the liberties of republics, the greatest number have begun their career by paying an obsequious court to the people, commencing demagogues and ending tyrants." POPS'John Adams Project' Exposes CIA Agents to Terrorist Suspects
The John Adams Project is a joint effort by the ACLU and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers to locate, stalk, and photograph covert CIA agents and to show those photographs to terrorist detainees at Guantanamo Bay. The Justice Department is investigating the John Adams Project. It is a violation of federal law to identify covert CIA agents. An ACLU spokesperson justified the outing of covert CIA agents by claiming that they had been involved in the "torture" of Guantanamo terrorist detainees that ACLU lawyers are representing. The John Adams Project was featured on Tuesday night's O'Reilly Factor when an O'Reilly producer chased down one of the three lawyers involved in the John Adams Project and demanded answers about an operation that would seem, on the face of it, place the lives of covert CIA operatives at jeopardy. The lawyer in question was very defiant and angry at being questioned by a Fox News producer with the camera rolling.

POPSLetter to Nancy Pelosi, from Dennis Guthrie, Attorney
...I find it interesting that you and your husband are multi-millionaires with much of your fortune being made as a result of your “public service”. You have controlled legislation that has enhanced your husband’s investments both on and off shore. At the same time you redistributed the wealth of others. Our system of a free market economy is being destroyed by the likes of you, Harry Reid, and now our President. You ride around in a Gulfstream airplane at the tax payer’s expense while criticizing the presidents of companies who produced something for the economy. You add nothing to the economy of the United States; you only subtract therefrom. I would like to suggest that you return to the city of fruitcakes and nuts and eat your husband’s canned tuna and pineapple produced by illegal immigrants and by workers who have been excluded from the protection that 90% of the legal workers in the United States have. I await your defeat in the next election with glee.

POPSDetainees Shown CIA Officers' Photos
The photos were taken by researchers hired by the John Adams Project, a joint effort of the American Civil Liberties Union and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, to support military counsel at Guantanamo Bay, according to the sources, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the inquiry. It was unclear whether the Justice Department is also examining those organizations. Both groups have long said that they will zealously investigate the CIA's interrogation program at "black sites" worldwide as part of the defense of their clients. But government investigators are now looking into whether the defense team went too far by allegedly showing the detainees the photos of CIA officers, in some cases surreptitiously taken outside their homes. If proved, the allegations would highlight how aggressively both military lawyers and their allies in the human rights community are moving to shed light on the CIA's interrogation . .

POPS Forgotten Liberty, The Spirit of Resistance “when the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.” (Jefferson again). If your Congressman or Senator is holding a town hall meeting near you, grab a torch and pitchfork (metaphorically speaking of course) and go! Let them know how you really feel. We are in the majority on this issue. Don’t be scared to get up to the microphone, and let them have it, “Be not intimidated…nor suffer yourselves to be wheedled out of your liberties…” (John Adams). Arm yourselves with knowledge and facts, and be a little forceful about it because, “what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance?” (Thomas Jefferson-He has so many good quotes). We need to continue to resist this assault on our Constitution and our liberty. We need to let our lawmakers know that we are not going to take this quietly.

POPSGeorge Washington Takes The Oath of Office (Inauguration) "I, George Washington, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and I will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States." Commander in Chief. Fourth of July 4th of July patriotic Independence Day This clip is from the HBO tv series "John Adams." George Washington takes the first Oath of Office for President of the United States of America. I took the liberty of adding the tune "Hail to the Chief" in the video.

POPS Colonialism Much is made in the east about the dreadful history of European colonialism, the bitter legacies of humiliation and dysfunction that empires leave when they withdraw Paul Fregosi in his book Jihad in the West: Muslim Conquests from the 7th to the 21st Centuries calls Islamic Jihad “the most unrecorded and disregarded major event of history. It has, in fact, been largely ignored,” although it has been a fact of life in Europe, Asia and Africa for almost 1400 years. As Fregosi says, “Western colonization of nearby Muslim lands lasted 130 years, from the 1830s to the 1960s. Muslim colonization of nearby European lands lasted 1300 years, from the 600s to the mid-1960s. Yet, strangely, it is the Muslims…who are the most bitter about colonialism and the humiliations to which they have been subjected; and it is the Europeans who harbor the shame and the guilt. It should be the other way around.” Well, yes. But that’s different. via julescrittenden

POPS How Islam Has Changed Over The Centuries against all the rest of mankind. The essence of his doctrine was violence and lust; to exalt the brutal over the spiritual part of human nature. “Between these two religions, thus contrasted in the characters, a war of more than twelve hundred years has already raged. That war is yet flagrant; nor can it cease but by the extincture of that imposture, which has been permitted by Providence to prolong the degeneracy of man. While the merciless and dissolute are encouraged to furnish motives to human action, there never can be peace on earth and good will toward men. The hand of Ishmael will be against every man, and every man’s hand against him.” — John Quincy Adams, 1830

POPSSimpsons porn.... Illegal????? I'm not condoning this type of thing but the fact that someone could be convicted of a crime because of it is utterly ridiculous. People make drawings of all kinds of crazy stuff, does this mean that the next time an animator kills someone in a cartoon that they should be tried for murder?!?! Because if as the article says "Justice Michael Adams ruled a fictional cartoon character was a "person" " then there are a LOT of people out there in a LOT of trouble. If they had found genuine child pornography on this guys computer then I would say this was all well and fine, but characters such as the Simpsons don't exactly closely resemble real people. It may point to something deeper with this person or it may not, but the law is not supposed to convict on speculation.

POPSJeb Bush Positions for President: Bush/Palin 2012? 'Jeb' (John Ellis) Bush is a member of the neocon think tank Project for New American Century , and he is more popular and well spoken than his (former cheerleader) Yale 'Skull & Bones' brother whose was not known for his academic skills . Williams Kristol (PNAC founder, son of Irving Kristol, father of neoconservatism) publicly conceded during the primaries that the only negative for Jeb Bush (republican Gov of Florida, with a large electoral base) was that America was tired of Bush's in office now. Would Cheney (PNAC member) be his VP, again, too? Or would it be Gov. Sarah Palin whom Kristol and the neocon gang are now grooming? (Yes, this will be the ticket, inauguration 2013--how unlucky). Obama received Kristol's blessing too.

POPSBurris Contacts Reid This is no surprise and really exactly what you'd expect from Team Burris. The only real news here is in the Certificate of Appointment (page 4 of the PDF ), which is signed by Governor Blagojevich, but not by Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White. White has refused to sign off on the appointment, which may give Reid some legal leverage when it comes to rejecting Burris.
