POPSPat Tillman Murdered? Pat Tillman was an atheist. He was killed under suspicious circumstances. Could it be that they burned his diary to hide that his "men" got rid of him for his atheism?

POPSMichael Vick indicted for dogfighting This makes me so sick. I really hope that he rots in jail. Of course he needs to be proven guilty first, but if the allegations are proven, Vick should be treated as he treated these dogs. There are times when you actually can't wait to see someone get punished...this is one of those times for me. I hope this NFL suspends him without pay immediately and then bans him forever from playing. His life should be ruined.

POPSIrish Eyes are Smiling. And what a Smile. Good guys do win. After a successful amateur career, including winning the Walker Cup with the Great Britain & Ireland team in 1995, he turned professional later that year, joining the European Tour in 1996. He came to professional golf at a relatively late age, having qualified as an accountant and worked in the business for a number of years. He has spent a considerable amount of time both in the top ten of the Official World Golf Rankings and as the highest ranked European golfer, his best ranking being third, which he achieved following his second Open Championship victory. He has also played for Europe in four Ryder Cups; losing in 1999 but winning in 2002, 2004 and 2006 . He has also won the par-3 contest at the Augusta National Golf Club.

POPSMichael Vick's (NFL Quarterback) home used for dogfighting This is sickening. Sadly, because of his athletic ability, Michael Vick is a hero to many. But the more time passes, the more it seems clear that he is a complete lowlife jerk. I hope he gets severely punished if he, in fact, was involved with this horrible treatment of dogs.

POPSFootball Players' Wives United by Husbands' Dementia
A sad picture, isn't it? :-( Ralph Wenzel's wife said that "his neurologist had determined that on-field brain trauma was the probable cause of his Alzheimer’s-type dementia. In more lucid times Mr. Wenzel estimated his number of concussions as “more than I can count.” "Sylvia Mackey said that the cause of her husband’s frontal temporal dementia was less clear, but that his football collisions — including one headfirst impact with a goal post at full speed — were the likely culprit." "Mr. Wenzel’s dementia is far more apparent than Mr. Mackey’s. Mr. Wenzel walks gingerly, rarely mumbles more than a few nonsensical syllables before growing tired or tongue-tied, and cannot feed himself. He can offer no memories of his N.F.L. career, whether they are about the position he played (offensive line), his seasons (1966-73), his teams (the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Diego Chargers) or his teammates." Are brain-endangering sports worth the risk of early onset Alzheimers' in players?

POPSGames and reality, Which affects which? on the other hand, "some biologists think the game could have educational value just by making users think about science, like an entertaining hook into evolutionary biology." "Ultimately, games are made to engage the people who play them. Provoking wonderment or debate is a good thing. Wright abstracts grandiose topics, and he does it well. Not enough game designers have the stones or the vision to try the same, which is why we get battered with endless versions of Madden NFL (also put out by Electronic Arts). In the end, that's also why Spore leaves such an impression. It's more than just fun. It's worth arguing about."

POPSA symbol of the best of American culture...murdered. The best of the best of American culture... murdered by the war pigs that have seized control of the country. His death is the death of the true American spirit... and the cover up, corruption and lies that surround his death is the perfect example of what America has become. USA, RIP.

POPSBiden v. Palin On CNN someone said that she would be a candidate in four or eight years. I have no doubt that’s true. She reminds me of a talented sixth round pick in the NFL. She needs some development but with some time on the practice squad she will be a contributor to the Republican Party. Gone is the impression left from the Couric interviews that she is just a dope. The verdict Biden wins. Palin holds her own and improves.

POPSProtecting trademarks big business for C*^ts Go C*^ts! Or is it Dolts? They may claim to not want to dampen enthusiasm, but they have done so—very effectively. Screw the NFL and the Super Bowl and the Colts and all the other sports organizations that so zealously guard their trademarks that they forget who their supporters are (or were)—their fans. When churches and teen organizations can’t even have a party to watch the Not-So-Super Bowl because the NFL fears someone besides it will make a dime, even if that dime just pays for the refreshments or goes to charity, then they have crossed the “delicate line”. They are not being good sports.

POPS SUPERBOWL XLII GIANTS GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Eli Manning lobbed a 13-yard touchdown pass to Plaxico Burress with 35 seconds left to give the New York Giants a 17-14 lead over the unbeaten New England Patriots in the Super Bowl on Sunday night. Tom Brady threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Randy Moss with less than 3 minutes to play to give the Patriots a 14-10 lead. The heavily favored Pats clung to a 7-3 lead after three quarters. Laurence Maroney's 1- yard TD run early in the second gave New England a 7-3 lead as the Patriots made their bid for a 19-0 record and a place in NFL history. Manning fired a 5-yard touchdown pass to David Tyree to give the Giants a 10-7 lead. In a game that was threatening to become the lowest-scoring Super Bowl ever, the Giants kept the potent Patriots in check with a clock- chewing ground game and relentless pressure on quarterback Tom Brady, who was sacked four times and hit often.
