Birds do it, Bees do it, but humans don't!
thinkingblue
by thinkingblue  9-4-2008    1
Of course, we should teach our teenage children good judgement, if that is at all possible when it comes to the powerful instinctual urges belonging to all life, the drive to BEGET. Try telling a teeny bobber about love and responsibility. They'll look at you, the same way you look at a dog chasing its tail, bewilderment of such a stupidity lag. But, for most parents, the teen "eye roll" just slides off their back, down to the floor where it can be easily stepped on. But all sarcasm aside, teaching this program alone is not just block-headed, its outrageously dangerous. By not equipping our young with knowledge on self preservation, we neglect the most basic fact of life, the instinctive teachings of fundamental survival techniques. Go and watch some wild life with their young and you will see such training. Birds do it, Bees do it, even Monkeys in the trees do it. Also on http://thinkingblue.blogspot.com

Stompernet The Net Effect

by stompernet01  9-3-2008
Stompernet The Net Effect Stompernet The Net Effect - On StomperBlog.com, we’ve had a few questions and comments about the pricing. I mentioned yesterday that STSE2 was developed to be a $497 retail product. Some people thought that was a GREAT price. Some people expressed that they STILL wouldn’t be able to afford it. Before you count yourself out because of the cost just stick with us. I will stick by my promise to make this a “Can’t Say No” offer that will be affordable for EVERYONE. And I mean EVERYONE. Augmenting our SEO knowledge and expertise on these DVDs are several members of our StomperNet all-star faculty. We hired these guys to teach US inside StomperNet, and now we’re giving non-Stompers a chance to benefit from this collective pool of GENIUS!

Gov. Palin Slashed Funds for Unwed Teenage Mothers
DanaGarrett
by DanaGarrett  9-2-2008
I really can't understand how a governor could slash funds for teenage unwed mothers unless increasing their hardship is supposed to teach those sinners a lesson. I believe that is about the correct righteous tone that masquerades for apathy and stinginess in "fiscally prudent" circles these days. Of course, if one wants to get really biblical about the matter, one could always consider the significance of "Whatever someone sows that also he reaps" if you get my meaning.

Palin, aside from being a woman...
egoldstein
by egoldstein  8-31-2008    65
Obviously a lot has been said about the fact that McCain picked a woman as his VP. That is no doubt an interesting fact that can be interpreted in a few different ways. But putting that aside, i think the facts that matter most are those in this clip. These come from a comment by debbyski and i think they represent the reasons people will or won't support her. I would certainly be shocked if anyone who voted for Hillary would support Palin based on these specific differences in beliefs and policies.

Pre-RNC raids: so who hates freedom now?
enbar

Doesn't look like any evidence has been uncovered thus far of intent to commit anything beyond non-violent protests. Kind of an unnerving story if you ask me, but, hey, it's a post-9/11 world, and the cops are just trying to keep us all safe, right? (It's funny, when I was a kid growing up in the eighties, there used to be after-school specials about how this kind of thing happened in apartheid South Africa.)

Your father raped you? Too bad. Global warming an issue? Poppycock. Teach creationism in science class? Sure, let the students decide. Ultra right wing religious fanatics are salivating all over themselves over McSame's choice. A Hillary replacement? Ha! Going to draw Hillary supporters away from Obama? In a pig's eye. Republicans must believe that women voters are all stupid idiots. This is McCain's judgment in action!

The Great Depression Hoax
Rustee
by Rustee  8-30-2008
Are we a nation of whiners, as Phil Gramm put it a little while ago? No, the American public is not whining...More likely, though, Americans are just leaving the whining to pundits and trend reporters. Our problem is not whining. It is persuading young people that, with baby boomers retiring, entitlement programs bulging and the world economy growing ever more competitive, now's the time to roll up the sleeves for something other than tattoos. For example, India produces 2.5 million college graduates every year (with concentrations in high demand fields - electronics, programming, engineering, accounting, etc.), and approximately 90,000 MBA's. Nothing against tattoos, but I do feel ignorance and apathy are much too prominent in America. Awareness of ignorance is the first step to wisdom.
