POPSHigh speed waterfigures image & video - magnificent! This video show how the waterfigures are created. This video&image show the forming of the waterfigures. A falling droplet fall to the formed waterfigure and a flying projectiel pull through the droplet forming a new splash on the air. The projectiel is activated by a high power unit, this act as a coilgun system and give a stable traject. The falling droplet pass through a laserbeam and generate a signal for the exact timings of all the necessary modules. The waterfigures are generated on a waveform. This waveform is a digital data and can be adjusted in time, form, frequence and volume to develop the correct figure.

POPSGrace Jones New Music Video "Corporate Cannibal" Singer, actress, writer Grace Jones who turned 60 in May, continues to amaze as she reinvents herself over and over gain. This is a music video for a song called "Corporate Cannibal" from Grace's upcoming CD "Hurricane" which will be dropped in October 2008. I like Corporate Cannibal. It has a very good beat.

POPSFlip Video I received a Flip Mino as a birthday gift last month. I've played around with it, but haven't had a good opportunity to show it off with a post yet. It's SUPER easy and produces good quality videos. If you're looking for a good pocket video cam, but don't want to spend the money for the Mino, take a look at the Flip Ultra. Creative has a knock-off called the Vado on the market that's even less expensive than the Ultra. However, I am sold on Flip Video not only for the quality of the product, but because of the company's social endeavors to make the world a better place. POPSGamers Make Better Surgeons Yet another study, by Fordham University, measured the effect of learning a new video game on problem-solving skills in middle school aged children. It found that "playing video games can improve cognitive and perceptual skills." "Certain types of video games can have beneficial effects improving gamers' dexterity as well as their ability to problem solve - attributes that have proven useful not only to students but to surgeons," the researchers found. There are actually "games" where you perform virtual operations, BTW.
