POPS“How to Think Like Leonardo da Vinci”by

" Like Edison, who built new innovations on top of previous inventions, innovative leaders never declare an invention “done,” Mr. Axelrod says. “Everything ultimately became the source of something new later,” he says. “It’s like the difference between a rich person and a wealthy person. A rich person has a lot of money and buys things. A wealthy person invests in things that make more money. It’s creating ongoing wealth out of your intellectual capital.”

POPSWatch This and You'll Understand a Good Deal of Obama's Streetlander "You Have To Take it Mentality"
Ok,you've seen the clip and hopefully heard about what Jack's character bigottedly had to say about "the black chappies".I'm not asking you to think like his character; just to pay attention to his insight into the thug mentality. Now think about the thugs of ACORN that you've been seeing and hearing about in the news, the terrorist thug associations of Obama(Ayers,Khalidi,Al Mansour,Asbahi,Odinga, and the list goes on...look them up),the Marxist Black Radical Theology that Obama was so happily involved in for 20 years, the interviews(so many and so varied) revealing so many aspects why he should be rejected by American voters for their safety...Taxes(now it's down to 150,000 dollars at which Obama will start grabbing from small businesses),Supreme Court intentions(he intends to stock the courts with judges who will redistribute wealth according to social and economic justice principles)...key Marxist platform principles, and on and on...DO YOU SEE? OBAMA IS TRYING 'TO TAKE IT' THUGLIKE

POPSThe American Dream delusion Chances of you being well-off are, at best, one in twenty; of being wealthy, one in a hundred. Yet nearly half of us think we will be. That's what keeps those hamster wheels spinning.

POPSFor the first time in history, the majority of the people on our planet live in cities "The sheer scale and speed of the current urban expansion make it unlike any of the big changes that have punctuated urban history. It mostly consists of poor people migrating in unprecedented numbers, and then producing babies on a similarly unprecedented scale. It is thus largely a phenomenon of poor and middle-income countries; the rich world has put most of its urbanization behind it."

POPSBush cheers “free enterprise” as US capitalism goes bust "Bush's message to those assembling in Washington was clear: Nothing will be accepted that interferes with the unfettered accumulation of wealth by America's financial elite and the defense of their interests, regardless the cost to the world's population."

POPSTough Times: Congress Grew 13 Percent Richer In 2007
Rep Robin Hayes, R-N.C., ranks third, with $173.4 million. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., ranks sixth, with $62 million. In the Senate, the two Democrats from Massachusetts claimed two of the top three spots. Sen. John Kerry led the pack, with $336 million, while Sen. Edward M. Kennedy ranked third, with $104 million. Sen. Herb Kohl, D-Wis., ranked second, with $241.5 million. Overall, senators had a median net worth estimated at $1.7 million. The 535 members of Congress, who earn average annual salaries of $169,000 and receive cost-of-living pay increases, had a total net worth of $3.7 billion last year. Although some are likely to take a hit from Wall Street's woes, their average net worth soared by 61 percent from 2004 to 2007. Obama ranked as one of the biggest financial winners, with his net worth increasing from $800,000 in 2006 to $4.7 million last year McCain estimated at $28.5 million wealth attributed to his wife Cindy's family fortune.

POPSPeople Power Can Beat Climate Change Engaging communities involves a lot more than simply asking for sacrifices. A supportive planning system and the guarantee of a stable, premium price for energy sold back to the grid has given people an incentive to join forces and create renewable energy. At a time of economic downturn and rising fuel costs, it is hard to imagine that the advantages of this opportunity to develop sustainable income streams would be lost on the general public. It offers politicians, business and investors the opportunity to unleash an entrepreneurial spirit capable of reaping financial and environmental returns for both the people and the planet.

POPS"Child Witches" of Nigeria Seek Refuge The Niger Delta is an oil-rich region but the wealth does not reach the people who live there. The locals blame their hardship on the Devil but international analysts point to the oil industry's large-scale contamination of air, land and sea.

POPSAmerican Election: An Illusion of Democracy A natural resources monopoly system was, thus, created in the US, and many parts of the world, based solely on capital gain and profit rather than the well being of human life. This power elite has gained total control over the American government and its departments, and dictates its laws and its foreign policies. In such a game the peoples’ choices are easily misled. The worst form of slavery is the one where slaves believe they are free. After the elections, there's still going to be massive problems to deal with. The "War on Terror", the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Guantanamo, surveillance, torture, climate change, Palestine etc. Who ever wins, don't forget both candidates are slaves to the system. It's really only the people, who in the end, can change things. Demand change, no matter who ends up in that big ol' White House. Don't forget.

POPSThe Genius of Photography vs. Susan Sontag's On Photography
|quote]Sontag argues that the proliferation of photographic practice has long begun to establish within people a "chronic voyeuristic relation" to the world around them. And that therefore the meaning of all events is somewhat leveled to an unhealthy degree. As she argues, this fosters an attitude of anti-intervention. Within this it's felt that the photographer should leave their subject, whether it be a person or an event, to its own devices while being photographed, regardless of the moral character of the subject. The justification comes in the idea that the resulting photographs will be documents, representations of events already in motion, in the name of truth and enlightenment. Sontag goes even further to say that the individual who seeks to photographically record cannot intervene, and that the person who intervenes cannot then faithfully record, for the two aims contradict each other. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_Photography Just something I'm pondering.

POPSThe Legacy of the 20th Century "Expressed in its crudest form, the Leftist ideology attempts to justify looting of wealth and labor, and the complete regimentation of society. It advocates, first of all, that it is quite all right that those who have not take by force from those who have, and secondly, that nobody has an inviolable right to permanent ownership of anything. That premise serves to justify taxation as well as confiscation and that grand old euphemism - nationalization."

POPSYet More Glad Tidings From The President-Select * Provide $50 billion to Jumpstart the Economy and Prevent 1 Million Americans from Losing Their Jobs: This relief would include a $25 billion State Growth Fund to prevent state and local cuts in health, education, housing, and heating assistance or counterproductive increases in property taxes, tolls or fees. The Obama-Biden relief plan will also include $25 billion in a Jobs and Growth Fund to prevent cutbacks in road and bridge maintenance and fund school repair - all to save more than 1 million jobs in danger of being cut. Provide Middle Class Americans Tax Relief Obama and Biden will cut income taxes by $1,000 for working families to offset the payroll tax they pay. * Provide a Tax Cut for Working Families: Obama and Biden will restore fairness to the tax code and provide 150 million workers the tax relief they need. This is “spreading the wealth around” — big time.

POPSObama offers Poland no commitment on missile plan Certain "experts in the Defense Dept....". Start building the system; that doesn't preclude the idea of "testing". Of course, if he wants to "redistribute the wealth" around the US AND the World, I can see where he might have a problem....though he doesn't seem to have a problem raising $$$ for things like election and inauguration. However, Europe needs to be doing a lot of the financing.

POPS Obama a "Weapon of Mass Destruction" Barack Obama's former pastor complained Thursday that the media used him as a "weapon of mass destruction" in an attempt to derail Obama's campaign for the presidency.
