POPSDrupal Training for Newbies What a great way to introduce community members to the power of content management systems like drupal. I think it would be great to bring a bunch of people together to sponsor one or two of these training sessions. Maybe I'll get around to creating an eCampaign to gather together the interested parties, lord knows that the nonprofits around here really need to get on the web2.0 bandwagon and interact and learn from their client-constituents! I'm sick of knowing more than the people in charge, but not having any way to communicate what I know, and be heard. That is all about to end- the real benefits of the internet are upon us.

POPSDoes Clipmarks Have What It Takes for the New Web? I hope all clipmarkers will watch this video with the intention of us incorporating as many of the ideas into this community. I believe we truly have a unique opportunity to pave the way for a better world & be a paradigm for the Web 2.0 community. One final quote... "While at first glance this book appears aimed at the business sector, the key messages and principles it explores make it a "must read" for anyone in the education sector who has the slightest interest in understanding the environment that our schools are now operating in - and perhaps to understand why for many of our young people they simply aren't working any more!"

POPSAmplify - What You Should Be Reading Clipmarks doesn't do justice to the look, feel & functionality of the new Amplify.com, even though clearly they're related. Yep, you're looking at part of my shiny new Clog. Who did I have to sleep with or kill to get the invite, you ask? That's personal and if I told you - I would have to find you and... you know how that ends. So, for the sake of peace - go to Amplify.com and request to be notified when it goes live. You'll be glad you did. It's coming and as Mexican/American would say while visiting Ukraine - it's mui cool!

POPSCopyright and web2.0 "It needs to be clear, transparent and fair. It is not about acknowledging that people have done something original and can benefit from copyright protection, but it establishes fair terms, for example, that by joining up to the university network the person accepts that their material can be freely used and shared." in the web2.0 era the concept of ownership and propriety usage of content is evolving.

POPSWeb 2.0: Opening up, or dumbing down? The aggregated "wisdom of the crowd," epitomized by Google and Wikipedia, is rife with opinion, misinformation, and lies because Web 2.0 creates an "environment where anyone can say anything," Keen argued. And that's "a bad thing for the cultural producers, the creative class,"

POPSSolar Weather Light Show Find more ways to see and collect amazing real images of Earth's magnetic field protecting us from Sun Storms. Learn more about Earth and get fabulous images from NASA and their partners. I love the interviews of the Inuit elders and the older scientists who first began the science station in the Arctic. Very cool stories.
