"Good Morning America's" Friday interview with former bomber William Ayers, news anchor Chris Cuomo did challenge the ex-'60s radical on whether or not he was a terrorist. But after Ayers contended, "It's not terrorism because it doesn't target people. It doesn't target people to either kill or injure," the journalist failed to offer specifics that would refute that point. Cuomo could have easily cited the example of John Murtagh. He was a child in 1970 when the Weather Underground, founded by Mr. Ayers, placed multiple bombs, one underneath the gas tank of the family car, at the home of his New York judge father. The piece tells us: The Secret Service warned the Obama family in mid October that they had seen a dramatic increase in the number of threats against the Democratic candidate, coinciding with Mrs Palin's attacks. Michelle Obama, the future First Lady, was so upset that she turned to her friend and campaign adviser Valerie Jarrett and said: "Why would they try to make people hate us?" Because that's the politics of division and destruction, which is what the right wing does. "Country first" my ass.

And it's frightening. In June 2004, I went undercover and attended a Dearborn fundraising dinner for Islamic Relief, the Muslim Brotherhood charity that is a front for HAMAS and Al-Qaeda. Sanabel AlQuds performed to songs calling for martyrdom to "get back Palestine." The kids were young boys, some of them appearing to be no older than seven years old. But they didn't just dance the debkah. Suddenly the Sanabel AlQuds dancers pulled out fake swords and rifles and adorned three of their troupe respectively with an American, Isreaeli, and British flag. The others pretended to behead and/or shoot the boys wearing the flags. Then they put red scarves over the three boys heads, signifying blood and no head. Then, the flags were taken off, thrown to the ground, and trampled on by this young group of Milwaukee dancers.

POPS The Real Obama Why much of the public and the media have been so mesmerized by the words and the image of Obama, and so little interested in learning about the factual reality, was perhaps best explained by an official of the Democratic Party: "People don't come to Obama for what he's done, they come because of what they hope he can be." David Freddoso's book should be read by those people who want to know what the facts are. But neither this book nor anything else is likely to change the minds of Obama's true believers, who have made up their minds and don't want to be confused by the facts.

I interviewed Ayers ten years ago, in a kindergarten classroom in uptown Manhattan where he was employed to shape the minds of inner city children. Dressed in bib overalls with golden curls rolling below his ears, Ayers reviewed his activities as a terrorist for my tape recorder. When he was done, he broke into a broad, Jack Horner grin and summed up his experience: “Guilty as hell. Free as a bird. America is a great country.” What I saw was a shallowness beyond conception. All the Weather leaders I interviewed shared a similar vacuity. They were living inside a utopian fantasy, a separate reality, and had no idea of what they had done. Nor any way to measure it. Appreciating the nation to which they were born, recognizing the great gifts of freedom and opportunity their parents and communities had given them, distinguishing between right and wrong – it was all above their mental and moral ceiling. He places his feelings/emotions aside and views the plain facts that we face between our two choices for the Presidency. The code words they use, seem so misplaced in today disastrous economy, which will only get much worse. (Especially, under a McCain/Palin administration) We will never see the end of all the sick, malicious name-calling and assassination of character during elections, unless the American voter will stop acting like frightened children, voting for fear-mongers who scare the BEJESUS out of them. If he does, our nation most likely, will not survive the slide the Republicans have brought about with their small government mantra, unregulated market creed and trickle-down, fairytale economics which means... huge welfare checks given to the rich, who are suppose to, in return, share with us at the bottom. POPSCrossing Paths Daily: Obama & Ayers Shared Office Do you think maybe Obama and Bill Ayers ran into each other once in a while? This Chicago Annenberg Challenge website from 2002 shows the total amount of funds given to Bill Ayers’ Small Schools Workshop from 1995 to 2001. The amount is not the $175K I had reported earlier. According to this page, the total given under Barack Obama’s direct supervision was $1,056,162. Adding that amount to the money given by the Joyce Foundation and Woods Fund during Obama’s tenure brings the grand total to $1,968,718. Just shy of two million dollars! That’s a lot of scratch, to put it bluntly. And don’t forget, this doesn’t count the 3/4 million that went to John Ayers during the same time period. Now here’s the second and bigger break, again big hat tip to Morgen for his work on this… Bill Ayers and Barack Obama shared an office. But Marjorie Kostelnik, dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences, said Friday night that the university's threat assessment group received e-mails and other information that identified safety concerns. The announcement comes after Gov. Dave Heineman and others asked the university to rescind its invitation.

POPS As Usual, The Truth Remains Unspoken In The Press So, why does Pelosi get a complete pass for aligning herself with this Colombian Senator that aids terrorists and is a chief booster of one of our biggest enemies in Central America? What else but that the U.S. media does not discuss this subject much. But, why doesn't the U.S. media want to expose Pelosi's support of a foreign enemy? Perhaps it is for the same reason that the U.S. media doesn't want to talk much about the true nature of the close ties that Barack Obama has to American terrorist William Ayers? To do so would discredit Pelosi and Obama both and that is the last thing the media wants to do. So, the truth remains unspoken in the press.
