POPSPalin still puffing Ayers Wolf Blitzer asks her about the "palling around with terrorists" smear. And that chapter is over now. It's time to move on. But if anybody wants to talk about it, I will, because ...

POPSPresidential First Dogs The last dog is of course, little Barney. I personally liked the First Cat Socks best, but I'm a cat person. I wonder what the new First Dog will be named? "Bark Obama", I heard. .:) Harry S. Truman & Feller The 33rd President once famously said, "You want a friend in Washington? Get a dog." Evidently he didn't care much for friends, as he regifted a cocker spaniel, given to him as an unsolicited Christmas present in 1947, to the White House physician. Dog lovers around the country assailed the President for surrendering Feller, who came to be known as The Unwanted Dog.

POPSMcCain Campaign: Election Post-Mortems Begin
It's started: People switching sides. The rats abandoning the ship. The excuses. The questions in the newspapers and bluntly put forth on TV: What did McCain do wrong? Indeed, What did McCain do wrong? Now -- although we have to kick his butt for 10 more days -- but now it's somewhat sad like seeing a boxer past his prime being beaten to the floor. But no mercy. No pity. We have to finish the job. Vote Obama. Talk Up Obama. 10 More Days and if we race on we win, America wins. It's hard to kill these monsters, like in the movies. You gotta have a special bullet for the Wolf Man; Count Dracula has to have a stake planted in his heart. We have to continue to do it: This old man is looking foolish, speaking in broken and twisted sentences not even able to keep his words straight. The false smile painted on a face no longer convincing to anyone. What honor he once may have had now forever tarnished. His legacy now summed up with one word: failure. The Post-Mortems have

POPSWill Republicans Steal the 2008 election? This interview is with Mark Crispin Miller. If you want to see who is actually trying to steal the elections -- and tactics of Republican voter suppression going on right now, his books are good details and summaries. He wrote: Fooled Again: How the Right Stole the Election Cruel and Unusual: Bush Cheney's New World Order & The Bush Dyslexicon Republicans are the party that tries to purge voters from the rolls. The Republicans are the ones who are always crying wolf and voter fraud while they are the ones doing it, and doing massive campaigns of voter suppression. If you've heard about ACORN and charges of their alleged voter fraud (which it ain't) then you know what's going on -- and in Miller interview here & his book -- you get a good explaination of what's going on behind the scenes...a massive and decade long program of attempts at voter suppression by the Republicans. Let's not get fooled again.

POPSThe Fascist Blueprint Naomi Wolf It not only can happen here, it is happening here. Mussolini created the blueprint (with inspiration from Lenin), Hitler elaborated on it, Stalin studied Hitler... Here's how it works (notice how many Bush & Co. is using now.): 1. Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy 2. Create a gulag 3. Develop a thug caste 4. Set up an internal surveillance system 5. Harass citizens' groups 6. Engage in arbitrary detention and release 7. Target key individuals 8. Control the press 9. Dissent equals treason 10. Suspend the rule of law Wolf's conclusion? Impeachment of Bush and Cheney is not enough. Prosecuting (and jailing) them for crimes committed is the only rational solution. Share this video widely.
