POPS'Whingeing' Pom's World Cup blow-up The free to Isaac Luke was a shocker and should have been rubbished by the referee or linesmen. But it is great to hear them do what they do best. Even the ex Aussie has caught the bug.

POPSObama Speaks to Russian President (on phone) When Obama went to sleep Nov. 4th, his country was in a World Cup quality celebration 4,000 kilometers and multi-millions from around the world were dancing and cheering. When he woke up Nov. 5th Russia announced it was sending nuclear missiles to it's border in Poland (in response to a missile base the USA has been building there) Within two day there was the first 'diplomatic mis-communication.' The Polish Prime Minister announced that he had talk to Obama on the phone and Obama said the missile program was to continue under his new administration in the New Year. The Obama advisors told the news corp this wasn't true. Now Obama is having his first little chat with the Russian president on the phone. He's sitting on hotel chairs in the corner of a Holiday Inn. Afterwards he may go to the House of Pancakes The Russian President is probably sitting in the Kremlin, maybe having borsch

POPSCrowds Mob White House, Time Square, Chicago, MLK's Church, Streets
When I saw the TV spot of a mob surrounding a car on the street I had the thought/memory of some riot, the mob shaking the car, overturning it, pulling out the driver and beating them (the past). What was going on? -- The woman in the car came upon the cheering crowd, her own joy exploded, she stopped the car, got out, started singing -- the crowd gathered around her and all sang on the street. Thousand spontaneously streamed to the White House, waved flags, pressed against the gates and lustily chanted: "Yes, we can! Yes, we can!" NOBODY alive has every seen anything like this. MLK's church in Georgia - thousands gathered inside and when the news of victory was announced a chanting a roar went up so strong is could have blown off the roof. Sort of like a World Cup Victory Celebration --- except that is was 4828 kilometers long. (or something like that) P.S. This slideshow on this page, 38 pics, is my favorite. Jubilation is what it was, and I've never used that wo

POPS''The Hand of God'' CHEAT However talented, skillful, all brought down to zero with his ''cheat goal'' and later glorify it. His behaviour off-field proves he is not a sound role model for next generation. Media playing it down too is guilty.

POPSAustralia scientists say bees can count to four And the Kiwis are teaching their sheep to read! Which is not correct because the Prime Minister is the only person who can read, and she is too busy with the humans. ps We flogged them in the Rugby World Cup last night, and we won the game too.

POPSHolographic television to become reality "It took us a while to make that first breakthrough, but as soon as you have the first element of it working the rest often comes more rapidly," he said. "What we are doing now is trying to make the model better. What we showed is just one color, what we are doing now is trying to use three colors. The original display was four inches by four inches and now we're going for something at least as big as a computer screen." There are no more great barriers to overcome now, he said. The breakthrough has made some long-time researchers of the technology believe that it could now come to fruition.

POPSfootball challenge cup is still so popular The main reason why the FA Cup is still so popular is the fact that it is the only Football Cup competition in the world which mixes non-league teams with league teams, offering the chance of some major upsets along the way.

The two sides also attempted to find common ground on a political settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. POPSBill Gate's syndrome With Internet delusion, patients typically incorporate the Internet into paranoid thoughts, including a fear that the Web is somehow monitoring or controlling their lives, or being used to transmit photographs or other personal information. The delusions are fueling a chicken-and-egg debate in psychiatry: Are these merely modern examples of classic paranoia fed by the current cultural landscape, or is there something about media like reality television and the Internet that can push people over the sanity line? “There is the old saying that just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean there’s not somebody after you,” said Dr. Jeffrey A. Lieberman.
