یک کتیبه دوره هخامنشی در جزیره خارک ایران توسط افراد ناشناس با استفاده از اشیاء نوک تیز تخریب شده است.

این خبر را برای اولین بار خبرگزاری میراث فرهنگی ایران منتشر کرد. این کتیبه در سال 1386، هنگام جاده سازی توسط وزارت نفت در این جزیره کشف شد.

پس از کشف این کتیبه اعلام شده بود که متن به زبان فارسی باستان است و پنج خط دارد.
