This question could be worded 'to ponce or not to ponce'. If you've got something worth saying and a few work-shy people have time to read it, then blog away. It seems to me however, that plenty of people think they've got something to say - usually at some length - and maintain a blog fantasy in which high-powered people around the globe are carving time out of their hectic lives to read their rambling and not very interesting observations... The answer these people would give to this question would certainly be: 'I love to blog!'
I guess I'd say, blog if you have to, but don't kid yourself. And don't go on and on.
