ژازه تباتبایی، نقاش و مجسمه ساز سر شناس ایرانی در ساعات اولیه بامداد روز شنبه چشم از جهان فرو بست
ژازه تباتبایی، نقاش و مجسمه ساز سرشناس ایرانی در ساعات اولیه بامداد امروز ( 20 بهمن ماه) به‌ دليل عوارض ناشی از عفونت ريه، مشكلات قلب، كليه و دستگاه تنفسی چشم از جهان فروبست.

اين نقاش و مجسمه‌ ساز 77 ساله كه از نيمه‌ آذرماه به‌دليل آسيب ‌ديدگي از ناحيه‌ لگن در بيمارستان بستری و مورد عمل جراحي قرار گرفت، پس از پايان دوره‌ نقاهت از يك ماه پيش به آسايشگاه سالمندان فرزانگان منتقل شد، اما در پی مشكلات ناشی از بلعيدن غذا به خونريزی معده دچار و از حدود 10 روز پيش به بيمارستان عيوض ‌زاده و در پی آن، به بيمارستان آتيه انتقال داده شد.

آقای تباتبايی بيش از 40 جلد كتاب شامل داستان‌های فولكلور، رمان، شعر، نقدهای هنری و نمايشنامه منتشر كرد.

پايه‌ گذاری و مديریت گالری هنر مدرن ايران یا گالری "هنر جديد"‌ از جمله اقدامات موثر ژازه تباتبایی در عرصه هنرهای تجسمی ایران محسوب می شود.
