AUTHOR DEALS WITH DIRE STRAITS

By CINDY ADAMS

Excuuuuse me, this is no hoax or fraud. No criminal case. Attention Author's Guild lawyer Jan Constantine, this is a First Amendment issue. How about let's all haul into court Samuel Clemens' heirs for whatever they're getting off Mark Twain's "Tom Sawyer" and "Huckleberry Finn"? How about going after descendants of Charles Dodgson who did "Alice in Wonderland" under the nom de plume Lewis Carroll. Hey, even The Mouth That Roared Bill O'Reilly ground out some thriller or something under a pen name.

This guy out there in Hollywood, he's going to get away with this?
