No Way to Hide Truth: Cell Phone Does Cause Tumor
paleblue
by paleblue  10-30-2008
Oh so what -- we're being poisoned every freakin day -- the flu shots have mercury in them!! <> Face it we are being purposely dumbed down, ripped off, poisoned by food, air, sea, and TOYS! Ripped off by health care medicines, taxes, etc.. All the while being asked to BAIL OUT, FIGHT IN WARS and look the other way while the rich get busted for drugs <> but don't do the jail time -- do serious crimes both financial and sexual and get away with it <> and still want to serve terms yet! Look at Bloomburg -- sure he didn't want Gulianni to serve again (not like I liked him - he's scum!) but yet because he's rich or should I say they -- he's getting another term < > do they listen to the majority of the tax payers NO of course not..

Study finds age related Brain abnormalities common
pokkets
by pokkets  11-1-2007    1
You can stall aging, but it will catch us all. We have to admit there will come a time that our bodies will no longer be strong enough to continue. The best approach we can have is to make each second important, and remember that while death can be overwhelming, while we try to avoid it we are focusing on it, when is is more fulfilling to cherish the life we have, and have a right to expect, and show others the same appreciation.Death is not so much the enemy as fear of death. We will die, but we are not obliged to fear.

Superspeed Wi-Fi vs. Health Risks
acesomeone
by acesomeone  10-22-2007
A while ago, in a local magazine, I read an article on the possible health-risks Wi-Fi and other wireless technologies (like cellulars) could inflict. It wasn't very scientific, but it did point out that current wireless networking technologies emit up to three times the radiation of regular cellphones. Due to the young lifetime of Wi-Fi, the articled implied it was impossible to predict the effects of it on the human body. Symptoms have been reported and vary from mild head aches to serious afflictions like brain tumors and other permanent damage. None of the aforementioned have been actually proven, though, since sensitivity to these symptoms greatly vary from person to person. It's certainly something to think about when (greatly applauded) innovations pop up, like the following, as reported on CNET. It's very enticing to buy into even better wireless technologies, but who's to say this stuff is safe... Has anyone encountered rock solid proof yet?

Pot Shrinks Tumors; US Government Knew In '74
rwatuny
by rwatuny  8-29-2007    4
From the article : News coverage of the Madrid discovery has been virtually nonexistent in this country. The news broke quietly on Feb. 29, 2000 with a story that ran once on the UPI wire about the Nature Medicine article. This writer stumbled on it through a link that appeared briefly on the Drudge Report Web page. The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times all ignored the story, even though its newsworthiness is indisputable: a benign substance occurring in nature destroys deadly brain tumors.

The difference of brain tumor symptoms when they are in different pars of the brain. Stands to reason when we know that different parts of the brain control different things. Also you need to watch out for personality changes with brain tumors, that is the scariest thing when someone's personality changes.

"Chemo Brain" Explained?
gingembre
by gingembre  12-4-2006
"Noble and his team are quick to point out that no one should avoid cancer treatment because of these results and that chemotherapy will remain a cornerstone of cancer therapy for the foreseeable future. Instead, they believe that the opportunity for the scientific community is to use this knowledge to develop ways to protect the brain’s cells from these drugs." "Noble and his team exposed several different populations of healthy brain cells as well as multiple human cancer cell lines to clinically relevant levels of three commonly used chemotherapy drugs – carmustine, cisplatin, and cytosine arabinoside. These drugs are used to treat a wide range of cancers, including certain types of breast cancer, lung cancer, colon cancer, leukemia, Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas, and, in the case of carmustine, brain tumors. They discovered that these drugs were far more toxic to the healthy brain cells than to cancer cells...

Federal abortion ban endangers women's health
jklugman
by jklugman  11-13-2006    18
Editorial by Cassing Hammond, an ob-gyn at the Northwestern University School of Medicine. Some of my patients, after finally becoming pregnant, learn that they need an organ transplant or that they are suffering from heart disease so severe that continuing the pregnancy would not only jeopardize their current health but might worsen the underlying heart condition. Others have had brain tumors, ruptured brain aneurysms, strokes and many different types of cancer. These patients terminate their pregnancies to avoid risk to their health and to begin lifesaving therapy for themselves, often in hopes of one day becoming healthy enough to have a baby under safer circumstances. If the Supreme Court allows the federal abortion ban to go into effect, it will jeopardize my ability to provide the safest health care to women confronting these severely troubled pregnancies.
