Need a Nap ? Try a Pod
Imnclady
by Imnclady  8-10-2008
Their research has found that 40 million Americans suffer yearly from chronic sleep disorders, and an additional 20 million complain of occasional sleeping problem.. For some of us, it just means dark circles under our eyes and a desperate need for triple-caffeinated products. But the reality is that over the long haul, trouble with sleep can cause bigger problems. For some people, the answer might be to just buy some. Yes, sleep has now joined the ranks of those products we at one time thought we would never have to pay for, like water. Spas across the country have now added this new nap therapy to their offerings, so along with facials, waxing and massages, you can now grab some Z's for about a dollar a minute.

Don't Do Like Steven - Get Some Help
cmstratton
by cmstratton  7-28-2008
I think a lot of people feel like Steven - they don't see a sleep disorder as something they can/need to get help with. It just becomes a way of life. As someone who suffers from both sleep onset and sleep maintenance insomnia, I can say you need to make changes and get some help. I've found Ambien works well for those bad nights, but herbal substances (i.e. melatonin) can be very helpful as well. The tips provided in this article are great also - I've done them and they've definitely helped. One of the biggest things for me to realize, is that this is a chronic condition, not something that a pill will "cure." You need to make lifestyle changes and manage it regularly to get real results. Your doctor can help - use it!

America's Outsourced Jobs Taking Toll on Indian Workforce
DizzyDezzi
by DizzyDezzi  12-26-2007    1
This last gift, I wouldn't wish on anybody. All those US jobs that went away to India are now taking their toll on the Indians who took on the outsourced tasks. My Gran used to say that "money isn't everything, especially if you aren't going to be around to enjoy it." It looks like a lot of these folks are feeling the strain of trying to balance a "good job" with good mental and physical health.
