POPSA Look at Avebury Circle continues As originally constructed, Avebury Henge consisted of a large stone circle around the inside the bank and ditch, with two smaller inner circles. There were two ceremonial avenues: the West Kennet Avenue (made of 100 pairs of stones), entering on the south side; and the Beckhampton Avenue, entering the west causeway. Inside the Northern Inner Circle was the Cove, which may have been aligned on the moon's northernmost rising point. The Southern Inner Circle had a great Obelisk in the center (now lost). Much still remains to be studied about Avebury, and much about its construction and purpose remains a mystery. The stones remained intact but unused throughout the later prehistoric periods. It is not known why the site was abandoned, but Stonehenge was likewise left behind. Archaeological finds show that the site may have been visited by the Romans as a curiosity.

POPSHill of Tara- illegal motorway going ahead
What spurred me to do this is that | just heard a report on the radio about a young woman called squeek (nickname we all have one)is in an underground tunnel , made as a protest to stop the undergoing of work on the m3 motorway to dublin- the capital city of Ireland which has seen massive growth with immigrant workers and the economic boom (celtic tiger) There are many people making massive journeys to and from work in dublin which is probably the main reason for the development there is a green party minister of the environment who promised to stop the before election who hasn't The european parliment seem to have deemed it illegal but to no avail The protestors obviously seem passionate about this major part of the countries heritage but I don't believe protesting is the only way I think persuasion of the public informing the public of the importance of the hill of tara possibly through literature and/or t.v making a programme focused on the issue would definitely attract

POPSCaral: The first city in the New World A brief article on a stunning archaeological discovery in South America. About six years ago, Peruvian/American archaeologist Ruth Shady , introduced the "oldest city in America" to the world. It was Caral; an ancient city on the Pacific coast of Peru, with trade centers, temples and a pyramid complex not less impressive than its counterparts in Mexico and Guatemala. The most exciting thing about Caral was its age: The city was carbon dated to ca. 3000 BCE, which strongly suggested a radical change in history textbooks. All evidence show Caral was not an exception in the region and there are many more ancient towns, waiting to be discovered. Another interesting thing about Caral is, its surprisingly peaceful social order. Archaeologists found no city walls, no forts, no signs of an army and even not a single weapon in Caral. Once again, thanks to Ruth Shady for this fantastic discovery.

POPSOprah's new mask for an ancient "Secret". "The Secret" is no more than a disquised version of ancient magic that has been around for centuries and is based in the occult. When the devil tempted Jesus in the desert, he promised Him all the same things, but Jesus said, "Get behind me Satan" and was not tempted by wealth and power. The Secret offers all the same temptations to people today. It is a tool of Satan.
