POPSAmerican Policy Elites Do Not Care About the Starving
World food prices grew 22% from June 2007 to June 2008 and a significant portion of the increase was propelled by the $175 billion invested in commodity futures that speculate on price instead of seeking to feed the hungry. The result is wild food price spirals, both up and down, with food insecurity remaining widespread. For a family on the bottom rung of poverty a small price increase is the difference between life and death, yet neither US presidential candidate has declared a war on starvation. Instead both candidates talk about national security and the continuation of the war on terror as if this were the primary election issue. Given that ten times as many innocent people died on 9/11/01 than those in the World Trade centers, where is the Manhattan project for global hunger? Where is the commitment to national security though unilateral starvation relief? Where is the outrage in the corporate media with pictures of dying children and an analysis of who benefits from hunger?

Remember Clinton rejected the neocons plan to take down Saddam and was shortly thereafter "Lewinskied". Did anyone recall that the Cessna that crashed into the Clinton White House was also done on Sept. 11th? There appears to be a pattern to Sept. 11th in the recent decade. (Freemasons also killed Morgan on Sept. 11th which led to the anti-masonry movement in the 1800s--the first "third party" in America. The number or derivatives of 11 is common superstitious practice of numerology for Masonic dates and ceremonial events).

POPSIf Iran Were America--A Timeline For those on the right reading this article, I love my country. What I object to is our foreign policy which often supports imperial violence. We are seeing even more dangerous thinking by some of our leaders now who see the United States as a genuine empire, a new Rome, no longer bound by international law, the concern of allier or any constraints on it use of military force.

So, the President, Vice President or Secretary of Defense could have given an order to shoot down the hijacked planes, to protect America, but they failed to do so. Doesn't that make you wonder why? Does the presence of Vice President Dick Cheney's Wife and other staff members in the secure Presidential Emergency Operations Center bunker before 9:25 A.M. on 9/11/01 indicate that the VP knew that something extraordinary and dangerous was going to be happening that morning and that they needed to be in a secure place?
