POPSConservative Bloggers Poised to Progress The Republican Party may still be licking its wounds, but conservative bloggers, pointing to recent history of their counterparts on the left, are licking their chops. As Democrats entered the political wilderness earlier this century, liberal sites like www.dailykos.com and others thrived. “I suspect within the next four years," says Erick Erickson of www.redstate.com, "the left is going to be surprised at how well the right progresses and develops online.”

POPSHurrah for the Millennials! When it comes to policy, Millennials are liberal interventionists on economic issues, active multilateralists in foreign affairs and tolerant non-meddlers on social issues-a profile that most closely matches the Democratic Party's platform as well as the new President's agenda. Their propensity to vote straight Democratic was clearly evident in 2008 when young voters supported Democratic congressional candidates by about the same margin that they did Obama (63% vs. 34%).

POPSObama will push for 8 team playoff 'I’m going to throw my weight around. I think it’s the right thing to do'. Wow. I hope if he can get around to it, he will do something about those pesky dry cleaners ruining our cloths. Reality TV is a nuisance too. I also want a new puppy.

POPSUS/UK Intel Warns Obama of Transition Attack
Which would be too convenient for the neocon agenda (pro-war Biden and Rahm Emanuel, et al, already in place in the Obama administration), as well as too irrational for "Al Qaeda" to do, if the fictitious terrorists wanted to halt the war program under the "change" candidate. Really, what would their motive be? (Oh, "They are irrational zealots...and because they hate us because we are free and women can vote", of course). Biden already warned about this certain coming event to "test" Obama (or provide him a pretext to change). He is in the know. Biden already said "you may not agree with us, but we will need your support...mark my words". The only question is, will the public be fooled by this false flag attack, or fear propaganda again, to justify more wars for Democracy against an invisible enemy while the Intel officials always know their scheme and yet can never find them? Hayden confesses there is "no real or artificial spike" in intel to justify their assertion!

And dare we ask - does Obama have a plan for finishing US involvement in Kosovo? Currently we are slated to be there for at least late 2009: Defense Chief Robert Gates Says Presence Still Important In Wake Of Russia-Georgia War (AP) The United States will continue its troop presence in Kosovo until at least late next year, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said just before he arrived here Tuesday, reaffirming U.S. support for the world's newest nation in the face of stern opposition from Russia. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/10/07/world/main4505480.shtml?source=RSSattr=HOME_4505480

POPSReported Obama-Hamas Contacts Bode Ill Another clash between Obama’s public statements and his team's behind-the-scenes activities. According to Yousuf, Hamas' contact with Obama's advisors was ongoing, adding that he personally had friendly relations with a few of Obama's advisers whom he had met when he lived in the US. "Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh will draft a congratulatory letter to Obama for his victory in the elections," added Yousef. "The policy Obama will instate in the Middle East will differ from that of his predecessor George W. Bush, although it is clear that the region and the Palestinian issue will not be at the top of his agenda," Yousef told Al-Hayat, "(Obama) will focus more on the economic crisis, Iraq and Afghanistan." © 2008 Al Bawaba (www.albawaba.com)

POPSOne Company's Toxic Agenda or Our Poisonous Way of Life? Marie-Monique Robin's "The World According
Both text and film are extraordinary models of investigative reporting, each comprising chilling and compelling indictments of a company with a long history of producing varieties of poison. I have no doubt that had a human individual, rather than a multinational corporation, been responsible for the death, suffering and destruction Marie-Monique Robin documents, the International Criminal Court and other jurisdictions around the world would be clamoring for that person's head. Yet, Monsanto continues to operate so much more freely than the disguised Radovan Karadzic. Only last week The Independent reported that Gordon Brown and other European leaders are secretly planning to promote GMO food - 90 percent of which is produced by Monsanto - over the objections of their own populations. Both Ms. Robin's film and her book use a montage of Monsanto advertising, promotional films, claims and pledges to illustrate the fantasy chemical, then biotech/life sciences company it purports t

POPSAnti-Gay, Anti-Family Even before the law passed, the state estimated that it had only about a quarter of the foster parents it needed. Beginning on Jan. 1, a grandmother in Arkansas cohabitating with her opposite-sex partner because marrying might reduce their pension benefits is barred from taking in her own grandchild; a gay man living with his male partner cannot adopt his deceased sister’s children. Social conservatives are threatening to roll out Arkansas-style adoption bans in other states. And the timing couldn’t be worse: in tough economic times, the numbers of abused and neglected children in need of foster care rises. But good times or bad, no movement that would turn away qualified parents and condemn children to a broken foster care system should be considered “pro-family.”

POPSObama's 'Change' and Rahm-bo: Neo-conned Again? This article, if read, will burst the bubble of belief by Obama cheerleaders. (Did Pelosi or a Dem Congress change anything either?) Roberts does not spare Obama any more than he did Bush: War policy: In “Hail to the Chief of Staff,” Alexander Cockburn describes Emanuel as “a super-Likudnik hawk,” who as chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee in 2006 “made great efforts to knock out antiwar Democratic candidates.” The neoconservatives were and are intimately tied to the Israeli Likud Party with its militant Zionist war agenda for a "new middle east". On Economy: Obama’s advisers are drawn from the same gang of Washington thugs and Wall Street banksters as Bush’s. Consider Obama's support of Lieberman then too, who supported McCain and is another "super-Likudnik hawk" when it comes to Israel and war policy. Get the picture yet? Some very important policies (primary ones) will not "change" at a

POPSLess Biz for Contractors Under Obama? Washington Post story, by Robert O'Harrow, also notes that slimming down federal procurement at the clip Obama proposes would require "a huge cultural change inside the government." Huge cultural changes don't come easily in Washington. For anyone wondering, 19 large U.S. technology services firms, all publicly-held and catering to the public sector, show a 52-week stock decline of 25%. The market's drop over that period: 37%.

POPSNewt Gingrich Offers To Chair RNC
Gingrich has operated best as a philosopher for the conservative movement, someone who can both capture the essence of conservatism and put it into action. Gingrich has the skill to communicate to a national audience and an emeritus status that will have people paying attention when he speaks. As RNC chair, his political baggage becomes irrelevant, allowing him to focus on party- and agenda-building instead of running for office. Most importantly, Gingrich understands the technological tools that escaped the GOP in 2008. American Solutions has established a very impressive grassroots structure for policy, which could easily be adopted and adapted to the RNC. As Patrick Ruffini has been arguing at Rebuild the Party, the RNC needs to close the technology gap with the DNC in a hurry. Gingrich could get the GOP to a terrific start in doing just that. Please let this happen. If so, we will be repopulating Congress with boatloads of true conservatives by 2010.

POPS United Nations American Agenda Getting to work during the Obama administration. By Anne Bayefsky President Obama will have what his friends will call an unprecedented opportunity to tie American foreign policy to the U.N. ship of state, lance it down, and sail off into the sunset, never to be separated again. The predicament of the Saudi wife would be an apt comparison. The U.N. apparatus has mapped out the priorities for President Obama’s early days in office (taking it for granted he’ll be hightailing it out of Iraq) Run for election to the U.N. Human Rights Council as a vote of confidence in the U.N. “human rights” apparatus and the ability to change it from the inside. Decide to participate in the Durban II “anti-racism” conference in April 2009, and send along a high-level emissary such as the Secretary of State. Revitalize the Middle East Quartet, which drives the Arab-Israeli conflict through a multilateral prism with the U.N. as a full and equal partner.

POPSHope for Change? Bush may speak of al Qaeda, perhaps of "Islamofascism," and others he'll accuse of brutality, while contrasting their ideology with a vision he claims to have of peace, liberty, prosperity. But the U.S. government differs not from those extremist groups who use violence to further their causes, for ours is a government which also uses unjustified violence or the intimidating threat thereof to advance its own agenda. The US... has become like the rogue states it takes pride in condemning. Our military is not used to defend our freedom any longer, it is used to enforce an evil interventionist foreign policy. I do believe this empire will eventually end. The choice is between ending it voluntarily by choosing peace and bringing our troops home from all over the world, or its demise out of necessity from economic and human suffering in America. To save lives, rather than a "liberation" of Iraq, the world needs liberation from American imperialism.

POPSObama's New World Order; "Change" is Required Listen carefully to the words of Obama's symbolic Berlin speech. We know the "war on terrorism" will continue from his debates with McCain, his view of Israel is similar, that the Surveillance State in America will continue to expand (his FISA domestic spying expansion vote), that he will NOT repeal the PATRIOT ACT, Homeland Security, REAL ID, or other anti-constitutional Executive Orders or legislation passed by the Bush-neocon administration. He will make use of the same apparatus for the same "global transformation". "Common security" (for their order ) is still being pled in his speech based upon 9/11. The "new world order" agenda of Social Change (under plea of "common humanity", despite any other distinctions) will be dictated and you will be required to adopt it, like it or not. Listen again. The burdens of global citizenship.....Americans and Europeans will be required to do more; partnership and cooperation is not a choice".

POPS Obama vs. Pelosi Barack Obama obviously has thought carefully about mistakes made by previous Democratic presidential winners who wrongly believed a Congress controlled by their own party would help make them a success. That may be one reason why Mr. Obama has chosen Rahm Emanuel, a respected member of the Congressional leadership, to become his new White House Chief of Staff. Mr. Emanuel has a reputation as a tough partisan, but he has also exhibited impatience with left-wing members of his party who have overly ambitious ideological agendas. To the extent Mr. Obama becomes a successful president, it will be because he remains his own man and trusts the brilliant political instincts that have gotten him this far, this fast.

POPSUS Studying Features Of Islamic Banking Oct. 26 RIYADH ----He said that experts in the US Treasury Department are currently learning the important features of Islamic banking. However, he added that his country is focusing on activities of various governments and central banks in tackling the economic issues. He pointed out that the member countries in the G-20 also includes Islamic countries such as Indonesia and Turkey, besides the Kingdom which has been a member for the past 10 years. Representatives from these countries could present their experiences of Islamic banking in the light of the prevailing situation. He hoped the G-20 summit will provide an effective platform for the member countries to exchange their views on the current economic problem and lay out a plan for the countries to draw out their respective national plans to ease the situation.

POPS Freedom Now Stands Alone
not just in the US but in Britain too – shows the intellectual disarray caused by these profound developments. They say politicians must stop trying to hold the cultural line and go instead with the flow of change. In Britain, the Tory party has adopted this strategy. Now there are Republicans saying the same thing. But John McCain is a Republican who does not fit the old template, who does subscribe to some of this ‘change’ agenda on a number of issues. As a result, he was incapable of attacking Obama on the most important grounds of all: that he stood for values inimical to America’s founding principles. When he did venture into this territory, it was half-cocked and far too late, appearing merely like the desperate throw of a loser. The reason he couldn’t do it earlier was that he had no coherent platform of his own. The Republicans screwed up in government, they selected a hopelessly frail and erratic candidate, he ran a shambolic campaign. They deserved to lose.
