What is unique is Bush making torture official government policy! What he said may never have in reality had any effect on how others treated captured Americans. BUT, now they have an excuse to justify their behaviour. In time his words may cause a large loss of US soldiers' lives. It was one thing to be torturing but very much different to make it US policy. This a clever man, at least in slippery sly way, behind the moronic appearance and demeanour and the consequences of his words should/would be known in advance of his flawed delivery. He has insured that there never will be American hostages, just dead ones, tortured for fun. This may have been the whole point. His job will be even easier now. No crying family member seeking their loved one's return. They are dead. Cindy Sheehan said he was a cold fish, deadly cold. He doesn't do funerals either. The president of DEATH doesn't do dead. Should we learn from what we now know of these incidents from our recent past and what we now know to be the truth, that we should not trust what our governments about what appears to be the situation. We only seem to have achieved to give away the rights that our citizen gained. For what? Increased security? What increased security and at what cost in money and loss of liberties? The security fascist who were the bottom of the labour chain, now control our every move. The lunatics are running the asylum! No wonder the citizens were never more afraid!

POPSThe Web-Head's List of Lists I was just looking for a simple bookmarklet to "Add Domain" to favourites in Firefox and came across this page during my search and thought maybe the web-heads out there could use this? (I'm not one, so I'm clipping blind here.) Hope someone can use it... Still looking for that bookmarklet...

POPSIran's President Launches Blog (Yes, For Real!) If this isn't a sign of the times, I don't know what is. Because overwhelming traffic this morning took down the site (English version would have been here ), I clipped a pic of what Ahmadinejad 's first entry looked like, as well as the news story on Yahoo. Fun fact #1: Mahmoud invites visitors to vote in his online poll: "Do you think that the U.S. and Israeli intention and goal by attacking Lebanon is pulling the trigger for another world war?" the president asks visitors to the site, offering them the choice to vote 'yes' or 'no'. Fun fact #2: Mahmoud's blog uses RSS feeds and AJAX and runs on a (illegally acquired?) Windows .NET server .
