POPSHite-ing Back in 1977 Alanocu did a great clip on the Kinsey Report which got me thinking about Shere Hite and how controversial her report was. Here is one reaction way back in 1977 to it. "Most men approve of premarital intercourse for women—but not too much. Say the authors: "There exists in their minds a vague point where the woman crosses the line from respectability into whoredom." I wonder if that particular attitude has changed since 1977? hmmmmm . . . The good news is that men's preference for performing oral sex on women was growing even then :D

POPSOrigami: 15 Most Amazing Paper Sculptures History: Origami originated in China as "Zhe Zhi" in the first or second century AD, and it reached Japan in the sixth century. Over the next few hundred years, origami became familiar in many aspects of Japanese culture. By the Heian period of Japanese history, origami was a significant aspect of Japanese ceremony. Samurai warriors would exchange gifts adorned with noshi, a sort of good luck token made of folded strips of paper. Origami butterflies were used during the celebration of Shinto weddings to represent the bride and groom. In the 1960's the art of origami began to spread out, first with modular origami and then with various movements developing, including the kirikomi. http://www.answers.com/topic/origami?cat=technology thanks to alanocu and einbar>

POPSNot-So-Secret Secret Societies 6. The Trilateral Commission The Trilateral Commission has been accused of all sorts of underhanded shenanigans by its critics. Formed in 1973 by David Rockefeller, the Commission includes over 300 prominent citizens from Europe, Asia, and North America in a forum for discussing the regions’ common interests. But conspiracy theorists hold that the Trilateral Commission, along with the Council on Foreign Relations and others, is really just a front for a larger, more sinister order called the Round Table Groups, founded in London over 100 years ago and bent on the creation of a new world order, a global capitalist police state. Yikes! (For the record, some say the Round Table Groups are themselves just fronts for another society, the Illuminati, so who knows?) American members of the Trilateral Commission have included Bill Clinton, Henry Kissinger, Jimmy Carter, Dick Cheney, and Dianne Feinstein. Thanks alanocu
