These are the causes, but the comments below the article are very interesting too: Lifestyle and Diet Factors • Smoking and second-hand smoke. • Diet–too much meat, not enough fruits and vegetables. • Suntanning. • Absence of UV sunlight in some regions, reducing cancer-protecting vitamin D. • Obesity, and lack of regular exercise. POPSWill Government Ever Learn From The Past? I doubt it. Today's Delancey's Place Tidbit, gives a brief encounter of what happened when the US Government "forced" a whole nation to go dry. What followed was a horrific scene of "forced" drunkenness, "forced" crime and "forced" misery... Today's Government "forced" War on Drugs has produced similar anguish especially for those who seek marijuana to relieve pain and suffering. Not to mention, if this so-called Governmental War on Drugs would lax some of its absurdities, the revenue collected from such sales would help the sinking economy. But it is not about a failing policy, it's all about politics and getting elected. Common sense, must take a back seat once again. Stupidity continues to rule, as time marches on! thinkingblue

POPSLeading Causes of Death--Real vs. Feared Note that you are more apt to kill yourself through self destructive behaviors than from the boogeyman "terrorists" or other crimes. What is surprising is the smoking and poor diet is a higher leading cause of death than even auto accidents. Americans are killing themselves while fearing "terrorism".

POPSOCD -Continued! (Have continued the clip here!) One of the amazing things about all these OCD sufferers is that they share many character and personality traits, kind, caring, considerate, deep thinking, perfectionism, indeed, some researchers have described obsessive-compulsives as the ultimate perfectionists. Something else many OCD sufferers seem to have is artistic talent, poets, artists, singers, screenwriters to name just a few. We intend to show off many of those creative skills on this website and also focus on some of the jobs that people still manage to do whilst suffering from OCD. In fact, it could be argued that their OCD perfectionist trait helps them to succeed at these jobs.

POPSHolloween in Dublin. Today... Gays, drink, money, Amnesty. NO religion!
When I saw this photo in the Irish Times of the fun in Temple Bar, Dublin, it was the first time that I knew of the event. Temple Bar was the oldest part of Dublin and has been completely restored. Yet an old fella like me would have stood out with all the young people who flock there. I'm reminded of great Irish traditions that went to America and are now returned, repackaged and better and in some cases even better than left your shores. We've commented here on ChipMarks about Halloween and pumpkins. Well the biggest of all is St.Patrick's Day. That now is celebrated throughout the world, Russia, China, you name it. I'm not sure but I think you invented it. A decade or so ago it was a pitiful affair. Now it would rival any similar event in the World and now not just in Dublin. Spilling out from this are numerous other events throughout the year. That photo gives you an idea of the standard. At times you would think you were in South America. I'm guessing but I think quite a few
