POPSDoD Lab Helps To Resolve Century-Old Russian Mystery But the remains of two children, a boy and a girl, were still missing, opening the door for some to speculate that maybe there were survivors of the execution. Now, the lab has again helped the Russian government by identifying the remains of those two children, found last year in a shallow grave about 70 feet from the larger gravesite. “There’s no doubt that nobody escaped,” said Dr. Michael Coble, the research section chief for the lab. “We can conclude here that based on this evidence, we have the two missing children.” “These types of cases are so challenging that we can apply what we learn in those cases to the current-day effort of mission,” Finelli said. “We test ourselves with these very hard cases, and then we can apply it to the casework to account for our fallen. So it’s always a little bit of a selfish motivation.” http://www.answers.com/nicholas II

POPSThe World's Largest Butterfly: Queen Alexandra's Birdwing is the largest butterfly in the world, with a wingspan up to 1 foot (30 cm). This tropical butterfly is from the rainforest in northern Papua New Guinea. The caterpillars eat the pipevine plant, which contains poison; this makes the butterfly toxic to predators, which will get sick if they eat it. So they quickly learn to leave these huge butterflies alone.

POPSFlames of Hate I never was a racist in SA - but one cannot suppress the feeling of horror, disgust, contempt, and feelings close to hated towards the ppl responsible for the attrocities shown in this slideshow. What is this world coming to?! - our planet is being destroyed, precious animals becoming extinct, murder, rape, crime , drugs, proverty, hunger, human trafficking, the most horrific natural disasters to mention just a few are the order of the day. Yet ppl still deny the existance of God and what was prophesied in the the book of Revelations in the Bible - surely we are living in those end times.

POPSHundreds Fleeing as Anti-Immigrant Mobs Ravage South African "Eric Goemaere, the head of Medecins Sans Frontieres in South Africa, said his staff was helping to treat people with bullet wounds and back injuries from being thrown out of windows. The humanitarian group is also known as Doctors Without Borders. He said Johannesburg's Central Methodist Church, home to hundreds of Zimbabweans, was under siege overnight and that police had told people they should be prepared to defend themselves. "It's a crisis," he said. He called on the South African government to declare Zimbabweans — there are believed to be up to 3 million in South Africa — as refugees and give them proper protection". All this goes to highlight the dismal failure that is our president, Thabo Mbeki and his corrupt government.

POPSXenophobia riots in South Africa The police are out and there are calls for military intervention in the wake of the riots taking place throughout the country. The riots and attacks on foreigners is spreading. This does not bode well for all the illegal Zimbabwean refugees who are pouring into our country. And this could so easily turn into a black/white issue as well.

POPSCzar Nicholas II Nine Decade Mystery Solved
Alexei was one of the more compelling of the victims, drawing sympathy because of his hemophilia. His mother's terror of the disease and fear that he would not live to gain the throne were key to her falling under the thrall of the hypnotic and sexually ravenous self-declared holy man Rasputin, who exerted vast influence on the royal family. Rumors persisted that some of the family had survived and escaped. Claims by women to be Anastasia were particularly prominent, although there were also pretenders to Alexei's and Maria's identities. "It was 99.9 percent clear they had all been killed; now with these shards, it's 100 percent," said Nadia Kizenko, a Russian scholar at the University at Albany, State University of New York. "They say that as long as the last soldier remains unburied, the war continues," Lukyanov told AP. "So long as the last victim of Bolshevik terror and the Communist regime remains unrehabilitiated, the repression will continue."

POPSTo Russia For Love Union. Add to Russia’s demographic bias towards women its rampant alcoholism, high prison numbers and near million-man conscript army and you can understand why it isn’t exactly raining eligible bachelors on the streets of Moscow. British men on the other hand, it would seem, are on the run from female liberation in the UK. All the men I speak to about their other halves said they found the quiet strength and femininity of the Russian women preferable to their pint-downing, man-eating British counterparts. "Russian women are stronger," says Glaswegian David. His Russian wife tells me this stems from perestroika times, when women went out to win the bread leaving their men at home, where they hit the booze. Whether the new economic stability will break them from such a spell is as yet uncertain. But in the meantime, foreign bachelors will have to cater for domestic demand, and it’s the British who seem to be plugging the gap.
