POPSNewt Gingrich Accuses Obama of Left-Wing Alinskyite Tactics
And if they think that this will poison the general electorate against Obama-- not so much. The middle doesn't really like Obama, and are not going to be making decisions not to vote for Gingrich based on him talking smack about someone they don't particularly like (and may in fact feel they've been sold a bill of goods about). At worse, it's an arrogant guy doing some smack talking about a really arrogant guy who doesn't know what the hell he's doing. And what's even more clever than this? Well, this is the time when the media turns to vetting Gingrich and trying to take him out. And they are doing so. And of course his rivals turn to him as well, as we saw with the Ron Paul ad. I don't know if it's going to work, but if Gingrich's "intemperate, extremist" statements do crowd out the stuff about him lobbying for Fannie and Freddie, it's win-win-win for him. The base likes the allegedly "intemperate, extremist" attack on Obama -- who is in fact a disciple of Alinsky ...

POPS Obama's Mob ... sufficiently sensitive to the needs of minorities in providing home loans. Agitators would then be unleashed. Chicago’s ACORN used Alinsky’s tactics against institutions such as Bell Federal Savings and Loan and Avondale Federal Savings. In September 1992, the Chicago Tribune described the group’s agenda as “affirmative action lending.” How do you think we ended-up writing billions in sub-prime mortgages? Do you think bankers suddenly lost their collective minds in the mid-90s after thousands of years of prudent lending? Who could forget the sub-prime crisis of 1850? Or the sub-prime crisis of 1921? How about the sub-prime crisis of 1952? Of course, there was no such thing as a sub-prime mortgage ever in the history of banking until community organizers like Barack Obama and ACORN began protesting outside banks and accusing them of discriminatory lending. It was a bold attempt to redistribute money and credit to unqualified borrowers and it worked fabulously . .

It's all about getting President Obama re-elected by employing classic Alinskyite tactics. But the "Occupy Wall Street" mob that shut down the Brooklyn Bridge last weekend and drew 700 arrests bears all the earmarks of a professional political machine effort to keep Obama in the White House. more INVESTORS.COM http://www.investors.com/NewsAndAnalysis/Article/587010/201110041858/Alinsky-Rules-Return-For-Obama.htm

POPSAlinsky Rules Return For Obama
At first glance, the latest protests staged by left-wing rent-a-mobs in New York, Washington, Los Angeles and elsewhere don't look terribly different from the World Trade Organization and global debt-amnesty spectaculars of a decade ago. Radicals swarm against some hated totem, chant, break a few Starbucks windows and leave scads of garbage for someone else to clean up. This time, banks were the target, as mobs bore down on Wall Street and posted demands on their Twitter feed to tax and arrest bankers. They knew a soft spot when they saw one. "The key to radical social change," wrote Stanley Kurtz in his Alinsky biography "Radical-in-Chief," "was to turn the wrath of America's middle class against large corporations." For one thing, the organizers of these protests are the same ones who got Obama elected in 2008. Aug. 11, former Obama "green czar" and community organizer Van Jones sent out an email to supporters calling for a new plan to "Rebuild the Dream"

POPSAlinsky Bar Sinister . . that the modern day leftist, led by Obama, pretty much stuck to Alinsky’s play book and thus won power to do just what the primer said they could do— “Change the nation to reflect Their ideology.” “Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:44 Everyone who comments on Alinsky, and his political offspring, seem to focus on the mechanisms he suggests, which is useful in understanding how we got here, but not why. For the why you needn’t read further than the prologue to “Rules for Radicals”. The prologue reveals the antigen, the toxin that is introduced into otherwise healthy minds causing disorderly thinking and leftist sensibilities. Alinsky states on the first page of his prologue that he and a few others . .

POPSBoot Camps For Radicals? Obama Recruiting an Army Of Community Organizers
But its real mission is to radicalize American youth and use them to bring about “social change” through threats, pressure, tension and confrontation — the tactics used by the father of community organizing, Saul “The Red” Alinsky. “Our alumni are more than twice as likely as 18-34 year olds to engage in protest activities,” Public Allies boasts in a document found with its tax filings. It has already deployed an army of 2,200 community organizers like Obama to agitate for “justice” and “equality” in his hometown of Chicago and other U.S. cities, including Cincinnati, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, New York, Phoenix, Pittsburgh and Washington. “I get to practice being an activist,” and get paid for it, gushed Cincinnati recruit Amy Vincent. Andrew Malcolm writes in the LA Times: http://lat.ms/hGru3H The community organizer who became president has launched a massive pre-reelection year campaign to assemble and train an army of new community organizers . . .

POPSOperation Triangulation Really interesting take on how GAME tactics and practice can be applied to politics. He also recommends, as many others have, to study the Alinksy playbook and keep handing it back to the left in kind. I have already noticed how too many good folks on the RIght seem to be all to easily taken in by the slighest 'ok ' move Obama makes (see the nauseating Fox News slobber panel post-speech for evidence of this troubling phenomena). Obama has to be seen as he is, and for what he is--at all times. The Right need stronger MEN to start playing a new 'game' if he is to be beaten. Sarah Palin and Ann Coulter can't do all the heavy lifting, lol ;)

POPSHoward Dean Admits the Truth About Progressives: Overthrow of the U.S. Government Is Our Aim
That’s why Obama could befriend such unrepentant former terrorists as Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, and take inspiration from Jeremiah Wright, a black-liberation theologist... ...But Alinskyites are more sophisticated, patient, and practical. They bore in, hollowing out the system from within, appropriating the appearance and argot of mainstream society. Their single, animating ambition is to overthrow the capitalist social order, which they claim to see as racist, corrupt, exploitative, imperialist, etc... ...Apart from that goal, everything else — from the public option to Afghanistan — is negotiable: They reserve the right to take any position on any matter, to say anything at any time, based on the ebb and flow of popular opinion. That keeps them politically viable while they radically transform society. Transform it into what, they haven’t worked out in great detail — except that it will be perfect, communal, equal, and just.

POPSUnderstanding The Alinsky Method Obama sat on the Woods Fund board alongside William Ayers, founder of the Weather Underground domestic terrorist organization…. Hillary, Obama and the Cult of Alinsky: “True revolutionaries do not flaunt their radicalism, Alinsky taught. They cut their hair, put on suits and infiltrate the system from within. Alinsky viewed revolution as a slow, patient process. The trick was to penetrate existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties…. “Obama is also an Alinskyite…. Obama spent years teaching workshops on the Alinsky method. In 1985 he began a four-year stint as a community organizer in Chicago , working for an Alinskyite group called the Developing Communities Project…. Camouflage is key to Alinsky-style organizing. While trying to build coalitions of black churches in Chicago, Obama caught flak for not attending church himself. He became an instant churchgoer.” (By Richard Poe, 11-27-07)

POPSHow To Seize More Power By Intentionally Failing Step 2: Insult every American’s intelligence by pretending to ride in on a white horse to save us from the problem that was in fact intentionally created by the same group of egregiously dishonest con men. We see this pathetic statist pattern again and again in America, and astute readers may realize that this tactic is right up Saul Alinsky’s alley. This approach has certainly been co-opted at times by statists in the GOP, but it is now the default MO of the Democrats, who remain the biggest threat to American freedom in the world – the enemy within. ...more.... POPSStill lazy and unqualified and avoids meetings...... ......Except with celebrities..........MSNBC Mockumentary Discusses Obama’s Days as Brilliant Constitutional Law Professor But Actually Shows Him Teaching Alinsky Tactics (Video) 33 Comments Jennifer June 17th, 2010 Obama was NEVER a constitutional law professor at the University of Chicago. He was an adjunct lecturer, in other words, a part-time instructor. Just another way the media lifts Obama up, gives him credit for things he never did. CLN June 17th, 2010 Still lazy and unqualified and avoids meetings (except with celebs). Not a real professor at all, a failure in academe pumped up by our media into some great scholar. POPSNEA recomends Alinsky as teaching aid I love how it isn't 'personal terrorism' if you just deem someone to be a symbol and not a person. Maybe that is why the left is so sympathetic to the Fort Hood shooter. They don't consider those dead as people, but only as symbols of something they can't stand.

POPS An ACORN Brothel Grows in Brooklyn by James O'Keefe This recent scam, which was attempted in San Diego, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Philadelphia to name a few places, had failed for months before the results we’ve all recently seen. -Bertha Lewis, Chief Organizer, ACORN So, we headed up to New York… Alinsky Rule #10, “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.” Bring it on.

POPSBirds of the Feather
ACORN executives have also changed their organization’s name, which was tarnished by investigations in at least 14 states of allegations of voter registration fraud during the 2008 presidential campaign... ACORN’s radical goals to transform the U.S. into a Marxist utopia have not changed in the four decades since Alinsky wrote: “The means-and-ends moralists, constantly obsessed with the ethics of the means used by the Have-Nots against the Haves, should search themselves as to their real political position. In fact, they are passive — but real — allies of the Haves. The most unethical of all means is the non-use of any means.” .... On cue enter ACORN and Barack Obama. After staged demonstrations across the county and several changes of tactics, SEIU hires ACORN as a “consultant” to protest the Carlyle Group. ACORN readily accepts the money, but has one problem — how to turn the people out, to make them care about the issue. Using the same tried and true manipulation tactics that S

POPSPresident Alinsky The purpose is to make everyone who might attend a town hall feel as if they could be walking into a mob scene. Most Americans are decent people who don’t want to become part of a riot. Notice how quickly the Left’s media auxiliaries acted to muddy the waters, spinning tales of frightened Democrats hiding from imposing, probably racist mobs.

POPS Dance of the Straw-men Consider the rhetorical straw-men that he marshals in speech after speech. Always divisive, always Alinsky-like, always agitating, the masterful community organizer can't help himself. On Health Care (03-05-2009): "...today, there are those who say On Taxes (09-26-2008): "...we all would love to lower taxes on everybody. But here's the problem: If we are giving them to oil companies, then that means that there are those who are not going to be getting them..." On Abortion : (09-01-2008) "...Choice is about how we lead our lives. It’s about our families and about our communities. It’s about our daughters and whether they’re going to have the same opportunities as our sons. There are those who want us to believe otherwise..." I'll be frank. I'm sick of his use of Alinsky's tactics. Always dividing, always creating straw-men, always creating scapegoats. Never once appreciating the wonder of individualism, of liberty, of our founders.

POPSA Funny Thing Happened on the Road to Serfdom “…in the spring of 1972, at Tulane University…students asked Alinsky to help plan a protest of a scheduled speech by George H. W. Bush, then U.S. representative to the United Nations - a speech likely to include a defense of the Nixon administration’s Vietnam War policies. The students told Alinsky they were thinking about picketing or disrupting Bush’s address. That’s the wrong approach, he rejoined, not very creative - and besides causing a disruption might get them thrown out of school. He told them, instead, to go to hear the speech dressed as members of the Ku Klux Klan, and whenever Bush said something in defense of the Vietnam War, they should cheer and wave placards reading, ‘The KKK supports Bush.’ And that is what they did, with very successful, attention-getting results.”

POPSStill Time to Know Your Radical Boomer Left. (Of which I felt part of -AS A KID.) Obama is so well-trained in Alinsky tactics that he used to teach workshops on it. That is why Obama can knowingly violate Federal law against usurping the presidential power to negotiate with Iraq before ever getting elected. "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it." That is the politics of personal destruction, Normal, decent America is the enemy for these people. Liberal Democrats used to be normal Americans before the Boomer Left rose to power. Western intellectuals have been the home team of Leftist radicalism for a century now.

POPSPlanting Seeds of Disaster
In one of the first book-length scholarly studies of ACORN, Organizing Urban America, Rutgers University political scientist Heidi Swarts describes this group, so dear to Barack Obama, as “oppositional outlaws.” ACORN’s Inside Strategy Yet ACORN’s entirely deserved reputation for militance is balanced by its less-well-known “inside strategy.” The untold story of ACORN’s central role in the financial meltdown is about the one-two punch to the banking system administered by this outside/inside strategy. Critics of the notion that CRA had a major impact on the subprime crisis ask how a law passed in 1977 could have caused a crisis in 2008? The answer has a lot to do with ACORN — and the critical years of 1990-1995. Banks merger or expansion plans were rarely held up under CRA until the late 1980s, when ACORN perfected its technique of filing CRA complaints in tandem with the sort of intimidation tactics perfected by that original “community organizer” ,Saul Alinsky.

POPSObama And Alinskyism
The Los Angeles Times, persuaded a Democrat-appointed judge in California to open the sealed divorce records of Obama's Republican opponent to a press fishing expedition. The resulting sex scandal cleared... With a $10 million campaign war chest from contributors, and with no Republican opponent who could garner much support, Obama had an open road to become the next U.S. Senator from Illinois. In April 2007, Obama addressed the National Action Network, a civil rights group founded by Al Sharpton. In 2007, then-presidential candidate Obama named Robert Malley, the Middle East and North Africa Program Director for the International Crisis Group, as a foreign policy advisor to his (Obama's) campaign. In March 2008, Al Sharpton, a strong supporter of Obama's presidential candidacy, stated that he spoke to Obama on a regular basis -- "two or three times a week." Sharpton also said that he had told Obama four months earlier, "I won't either endorse you or not endorse you.
