POPSButternut Squash, Apple, and Onion Galette with Stilton Remove the blade and bring the dough together by hand. Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate at least 1 hour. For the filling: Halve and core the apple. Cut each 1/2 into 8 wedges and put them in a large bowl. Slice the squash and cut the onion into wedges so that both are as thick as the apple wedges, and add them to the apples. Add the butter, rosemary, and thyme and toss gently to combine. Season with salt and pepper and toss again. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Roll the dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch disk. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet and brush with mustard. Starting 2 inches from the edge, casually alternate pieces of apple, squash, and onion in overlapping circles—if you have extra pieces of one or another, tuck them in where you can or double them up until to use all the filling. Fold and pleat the dough over the edge of the filling.

Several more skeletons found at the dig site exhibited traces of bacterial cell wall lipids, which have been directly linked to the presence of TB after DNA analysis. Having discovered the first hosts of the TB bacteria, biologists now hope to be able to sequence the bacterial DNA, in the hope that they would find out exactly how it mutated over the thousands of years it lived in humans. Already, several strand portions have been identified in samples collected from the bones in Egypt, which are not present in today's TB strains. This could mean that changes in human physiology may also trigger alternate responses in bacterial morphology. Scientists continue their research, with the big prize being finding a way of ridding humanity of this terrible disease.

POPSJewish Holiday Holds Up Congress During Financial Crisis Why? Isn't this an "establishment of religion"? This gives some historical background. Apparently this is something fairly new! Is Judaism America's official religion? They have no trouble calling sessions on Sundays. They certainly don't observe any Islamic holidays, or Buddhist holidays, or ....etc.., not that they should. (Christmas used to not be observed by Congress, and is actually a pagan holiday that was "Christianized" by Constantine to unite the Roman Empire). Where is the ACLU on this one? Yom Kippur will be in October as well. It's fair to ask and question the constitutionality of this as it smacks of official endorsement. Methinks AIPAC holds this over Congress who are afraid to resist. As Orwell said, "some are more equal than others" (Animal Farm). The Fed chairman Bernanke is Jewish , who ironically has been the very one stressing the urgency of Congress acting immediately.
