POPSA Guide to Understanding the Tactics of the Southern Poverty Law Center in the Immigration Debate It is therefore essential that we thoroughly examine and respond to the charges and the motives of those leveling the accusations. This publication is designed for the media, legislators and others who are actively involved in writing about or formulating immigration policy. Its purpose is to provide: * An overview of the unscrupulous tactics now being used in the immigration debate which distort factual reporting and limit meaningful debate. * A summary of FAIR’s 30-year record of advocacy on immigration. * An examination into the SPLC’s motives, terminology and techniques used against FAIR and others. * An objective third party analysis of the SPLC’s tactics and motivations. * Conclusions and suggestions for fair reporting and open mindedness.

POPSLou Dobbs - Truth Teller Pro-Illegal alien Amnesty supporting groups have been spreading lies about Lou Dobbs of CNN, trying to get him fired to censor his free speech, and foment hatred towards him because he stands again...

POPSHow The FCC and Liberal Churches are Scheming to Shut You Up
from staunch critics of illegal immigration. Open-borders groups have sought to marginalize, criminalize, and demonize those of us who have raised our voices for years about lax immigration enforcement " and to impose an Orwellian Fairness Doctrine-style policy on illegal alien amnesty opponents. During the presidential campaign, the National Council of La Raza launched a “We Can Stop the Hate” project to redefine tough policy criticism from the Right as “hate.” Unsurprisingly, far Left billionaire George Soros’s money is backing the “So We Might See”/National Hispanic Media Coalition effort. And remember that the Soros-funded Center for American Progress has provided the Obama White House with its Fairness Doctrine-embracing “diversity czar,” Mark Lloyd. Jeffrey Lord, who happens to belong to the United Church of Christ, reported in the American Spectator that not long after that speech, the UCC sent out a mass e-mail to its millions of members urging them.......

POPSDid you know??????????????? It’s common amongst lefty bloggers to rail Israel for what they’re doing, and I don’t think I’ll buck the trend, here. It’s not a discussion of who’s “right” in the fight, it’s fairly well established that both sides are taking hardline stances on what a proper endgame would be, but a matter of who’s doing what.

POPSControl Arms Campaign Pipedream. Until you change the attitude of all those people who want to rule other people, or to kill other people for whatever reason, not one treaty will ever work. I would love to live in a world where guns would never be used against another person. But, as I said, it’s a pipedream.

POPSLou Dobbs amnesty bill This is a "must watch" if you want to see where this administration is taking this country. You will be shocked and it is CNN, not Fox reporting!

POPSAmnesty Now! Let’s play a hypothetical game. Let us assume that Gutierrez’s bill passes, and he achieves his major goal of a general amnesty. The 12 million aliens currently residing in the country illegally suddenly find themselves free to stay, become card-carrying members of the Democratic Party, and live happily ever after. What happens to the next person who steals across the border? History has shown us that, after an amnesty, the rate of illegal border crossings increases. After the last amnesty bill in 1986, the US experienced a flood of new illegal aliens crossing the border. In the twenty-year period between 1985 and 2005, the number of illegal residents soared from an estimated 2-3 million to about 11 million. It is only human nature that, upon hearing of an amnesty, people would, predictably, risk all to come to the US by any means and simply wait out their chance in the hopes of catching the next one.

POPSEach Small Candle Halfdan Rasmussen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark January 29, 1915. He was a resistance fighter during the German occupation of Denmark in W.W.II and became a well known poet often writing about social issues and human rights. Halfdan Rasmussen was also loved for his nonsense verses written for children. Halfdan Rasmussen almost became a national-poet of Denmark. He died in 87 years old on 2nd March 2002. In 1979 Amnesty International (Denmark) published a small book with poems about Human Rights (ISBN: 87-980852-2-0). Among the best were a small poem from Halfdan Rasmussen titled "Ikke Bødlen". The English Translation of Ikke Bødlen: Not the torturer will scare me Nor the hate and the torture Nor the barrels of death's rifles nor the shadows on the wall Nor the nights When the last star of pain is falling to the ground But the blind indifference of the merciless world

POPSSummits of Folly But the problem with this euphemistic approach to disarmament, as Lippmann noticed, is that it shifts the onus from the countries that can't be trusted with nuclear weapons to those that can. Is Nicolas Sarkozy, with his force de frappe, about to start World War III? Probably not, though he has the means to do so. Should Mr. Obama join hands with Iran and the Arab world in pushing for Israel's nuclear disarmament, on the view that if only the Jewish state would set the right example its enemies would no longer want to wipe it off the map? If that's what the president believes, he should say so publicly, especially since he's offering the same general prescription for America's nuclear deterrent. Of course what the administration wants is to set the right mood music for its upcoming talks with Iran. Mr. Obama would be better served having a chat with Moammar Gadhafi, who will be seated just a few chairs away at the Security Council: . . .

POPSNeda Agha-Soltan's Fiance Has Been Released From Evin Prison in Iran Amnesty International had been calling for Makan's release, claiming he had been ill treated in prison and subject to coercion and torture. The circumstances of his release and his imprisonment are not immediately clear, and Amnesty International has apparently suspended its appeal but is continuing to monitor Makan's situation. Others involved in the circumstances surrounding the now-famous videotaped death of the young Neda Agha-Soltan have fled Iran in fear for their own lives, including Dr. Arash Hejazi, who attended to Neda after she was shot, and the television journalist who interviewed Caspian Makan after Neda's untimely death.

POPSObama: Legalize illegals to get them health care No, he wasn't planning on covering illegals with health care. That was a "Right Wing Scare Tactic". What he really meant is that he was going to make them legals first and then cover them. You libs better watch these "Right Wing Scare Tactics" . You may find out it is really the truth.

POPSHonduran President Makes Offer to End Political Standoff One complication involves allegations that Mr. Zelaya took several million dollars from Honduras's Central Bank before leaving the country. The Micheletti proposal would leave Mr. Zelaya vulnerable to prosecution on those charges, Mr. Corrales said. The official told Reuters that $215 million in grants from the U.S. Millennium Challenge Corp. -- of which $80 million has been disbursed -- would be at risk. The U.S. earlier this week restricted visas for Hondurans to visit the United States. Mr. Micheletti has refused a proposal by Mr. Arias that would have allowed Mr. Zelaya to return to office and scheduled new presidential elections in November. POPSJust for Drinking a Beer At least they're going to use a smaller cane this time, and not just because it is a woman offender, but a very strict government ruled by the religious community. This is one more reason to love America. Keep the church where it belongs, and out of government and law enforcement! The woman said in an interview, that she accepts the caning, because "I want to respect the law". Well then why did she go to a public place and drink in front of everyone? From the sound of things, maybe this hotel had a reputation for breaking the rules, and she thought she was in a safe place. Since the article said she was caught in a "raid" on the place. The reason this is newsworthy is that she is the first woman to actually be caned for this. A giant step backward. Amnesty International condemned the sentence and many critics stated that this might harm Malaysia's reputation for being a moderate Muslim majority country.
