POPSBuilding bridges between Jews and Latino Pentecostals In L.A., a Jewish group has been mounting outreach efforts to Latino Pentecostal congregations and organizations, including a Spanish-language 'Essence of Judaism" course. The piece suggests the outreach has been pretty successful.

POPSWhat a Waste of Money? These organizations are costing a whopping $83,655 per incident, real or imagined. They need incidents, real or imaginary, to justify their continued existence. Does anyone think that this level of defamation of Jews is for real? I'm reminded of that female who put the swastika on her own door. How much did that incident cost?

POPSDisabled Jewish Vet Caused Iowa City Flood!!! "It's because of folks like you that we got this flood." "He endured repeated efforts by Protestant chaplains to evangelize him in his hospital bed." ... IsraeliENews Is this for real? My sense is that both sides are out of order.

POPSThe Dr. Seuss Many Didn't Know Dr. Seuss worked as an editorial cartoonist for the paper from 1941 to 1943, drawing cartoons that lambasted isolationism, racism, anti-Semitism, Hitler, Mussolini, the Japanese, and the conservative forces in American politics.

POPSOrthodox Jewish youths burn New Testaments in Or Yehuda Got this from alternative news source. If any groups of the lowly Gentiles got together and burned Talmuds, I promise you, it would be on the front page of each and every Western rag and charges of "anti-semitism" would be tossed all over the place. But god's privileged people get away with ANY and EVERYTHING.

POPS10 Books That Screwed Up The World I agree with most of this list, the rest I have no opinion because I haven't read the books. My curiosity has been piqued enough to read them and found out. Read the article to learn beyond the summaries why these books (and by extension, their authors) are considered to be so harmful.

POPS10 Books That Screwed Up The World "From Machiavelli's The Prince to Karl Marx's The Communist Manifesto to Alfred Kinsey's Sexual Behavior in the Human Male, these "influential" books have led to war, genocide, totalitarian oppression, family breakdown, and disastrous social experiments. And yet these authors' bad ideas are still popular and pervasive--in fact, they might influence your own thinking without your realizing it. Here with the antidote is Professor Benjamin Wiker. In his scintillating new book, 10 Books That Screwed Up the World (And 5 Others That Didn't Help), he seizes each of these evil books by its malignant heart and exposes it to the light of day. "

POPSThe Loathsome Smearing of Israel’s Critics
The response? There was little attempt to dispute the facts I offered. Instead, some of the most high profile “pro-Israel” writers and media monitoring groups — including Honest Reporting and Camera — said I an anti-Jewish bigot akin to Joseph Goebbels and Mahmoud Ahmadinejadh, while Melanie Phillips even linked the stabbing of two Jewish people in North London to articles like mine. Vast numbers of e-mails came flooding in calling for me to be sacked. Any attempt to describe accurately the situation for Palestinians is met like this. If you recount the pumping of sewage onto Palestinian land, “Honest Reporting” claims you are reviving the anti-Semitic myth of Jews “poisoning the wells.” If you interview a woman whose baby died in 2002 because she was detained — in labour — by Israeli soldiers at a checkpoint within the West Bank, “Honest Reporting” will say you didn’t explain “the real cause”: the election of Hamas in, um, 2006. And on, and on.

POPSUN Walkout Over Israel Slur The meeting was postponed following the walkout. Britain's deputy ambassador, Karen Pierce, said: “A number of council members were dismayed by the approach taken by Libya and do not believe that such language helps advance the peace process.” The Anti-Defamation League praised the diplomats who left the meeting and described the comments as "deeply insulting." ADL National Director Abraham Foxman said: “There can be no comparison between Israel's effort to defend its citizens against terrorism and the Nazis' systematic killing of six million Jews in the Holocaust.

POPSThe UN is a joke. The UN used to be dominated by the Soviets and other Eastern block puppet states, now it is dominated by anti-Semite, anti-western Arab states and their helpers from the EU

POPSFanaticism Without A Cause Fortunately, these warriors are under-equipped. But their aims are clear and plenary. When they have nuclear weapons at their disposal, they will use them.

POPSShamefull Religious Intollerance That people would be so transparently discriminatory is honestly surprising to me, although it shouldn't be. There is no right to force non-Christians to recite Christian prayers in American public schools. There is no right to put God in the plege. Just like I have no right to force Christians to leave offerings before the statues of the Buddha. But don't get me wrong. This isn't about Christianity. Christianity no where condones this abhorrent and intolerant behavior. This is about the power of discrimination, and it is an addictive social phenomenon. These people would do the exact same thing with another religion. Christianity was just the most convenient vehicle for their hatred at the time. Apparently we still need to change a lot about our society before we can live with our neighbors in peace.

POPSWho Is “Fascist”?The abuse and proper use of a political label
In Germany, the Nazis followed in the wake of the Italian Fascists, adding racism in general and anti-Semitism in particular, neither of which was part of Fascism in Italy or in Franco’s Spain. In short, during the 1920s and the early 1930s, Fascism was not only looked on favorably by the Left but recognized as having kindred ideas, agendas, and assumptions. The Nazi variant of Fascism found favor on the Left in the 1920s. Only after Hitler and Mussolini disgraced themselves, mainly by their brutal military aggressions in the 1930s, did the Left distance itself from these international pariahs. Fascism, initially recognized as a kindred ideology of the Left, has since come down to us defined as being on “the Right"— supposedly further extensions of conservatism If by conservatism you mean belief in free markets, limited government, and traditional morality, including religious influences, then these are all things that the Fascists opposed just as much as the Left does t

POPSGaza exodus symptom of grave situation Israel’s ability to ignore blatant human rights violations against the Palestinians derives from the great support it receives from world Jewry and Western societies. Western Jews, emancipated and empowered by the Enlightenment, are inspired by a long history of anti-Semitism that became pronounced in 19th century Europe, and culminated in the Holocaust in the mid-20th century. Many members of the Jewish American community, who were actively involved in the civil rights movement, are ill-at-ease watching events unfolding in the Middle East. Despite their disapproval of harsh and inhumane Israeli policies toward Palestinians, they are reluctant to criticize Israel for the fear that such criticism would undermine Western support. Is silence the best approach to support the Jews in the Holy Land? And is force the best approach to dealing with Palestinians demands for equal rights?

POPSZION’S REBEL DAUGHTER. Hannah Arendt on Palestine and Jewish Politics After saving I was getting a message from ClipMarks that there was a problem. This post was a test only to see if it was working. The same problem message came up and it's only this morning that I discovered that despite the message, the clip was posted. I intended to post from this site at some point but not in this haphazard manner. Sorry.

POPSGoogle on the Cutting Edge of Hypocrisy The internet,is after all, not free. Who are we kidding! Idealistically, we would love it to be ... but realistically, it isn't! Google and Yahoo (and all the others) are in it for the money, and not for humanitarianism.

POPSThe Book That Can’t Be Published In America Alan Hart is a very brave man. I think, though, he is missing an important point. From the point of view of British and American politicians, Zionism is not about making amends for the Holocaust, it is about having a Western power to project their power into the Middle East.

POPSLeft Wing Anti-Semitism I cannot but agree with the essential point that much criticism of Israel and Zionism from the Left is barely disguised distaste for Jewishness. Read the article, see what you think.
