POPSObama’s Latest Fake Plan For More Drilling Will Obama ever allow actually drilling on ANWR? No. The exact same is true of the National Petroleum reserve. No new oil will ever be produced from the National Petroleum Reserve while Obama is still president. Same with drilling in the Atlantic. Here all Obama has promised is to speed up the evaluation. If he follows through on this promise, all that means is we’ll get an ultimate ‘no’ quicker. POPSObama's Energy Secretary's Double Talk . . . the Obama administrations foot-dragging on permitting off shore drilling have already and will continue to lead to significant declines in gulf oil production. Erik Milito, upstream director for the American Petroleum Institute, also took the president to task for the way he talked about how much oil was being produced in the Gulf. He said, domestic production of oil will decline from 5.51 million barrels per day in 2010 to 5.4 million barrels per day in 2011 – and 5.27 million barrels per day in 2012, according to the Energy Information Administration. POPS Dems' Health Strategy Doesn't Add Up to a Win ... by Michael Barone
That leaves her with 216, one less than the 217 she needs. There is another problem. The Senate bill lacks the amendment sponsored by House Democrat Bart Stupak banning abortion coverage, and Stupak says that he and about 10 other Democrats will accordingly vote no. That leaves Pelosi around 205. She may have commitments from former no voters to switch to yes (especially from three who've announced they're retiring), but she doesn't have more than 10 other votes in her pocket -- or she wouldn't have accepted the Stupak amendment. So the House wants the Senate to go first and pass changes to its bill through the reconciliation process that requires 51 rather than 60 votes. But Senate Budget Chairman Kent Conrad says that you can't use reconciliation on a bill that hasn't already become law. And reconciliation is probably not available on abortion issues. All of which reminds me of Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens' attempt to allow oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife ....

POPSThe Lies About Green Jobs
With 16,000 employees and an annual budget of $24 billion, the United States has imported more oil with every passing year while denying U.S. oil companies access to vast national reserves in ANWR and off our continental shelf. All of these programs were put forth by liberals, now calling themselves “progressives”, initiated by Democrat administrations to advance what they call “social justice.” The Obama administration is hell-bent on “health care reform” that will put one sixth of the U.S. economy under the control of the federal government whose interventions in the free market have been the cause of the previous recessions. In 2010, the Obama administration says it intends to relieve the job shortage by creating “green jobs” in the sectors of wind and solar power and biofuels. It has announced a program that will cost $2.3 billion, costing approximately $135,000 per job. “Show me one other industry that requests and receives a nearly 30 percent taxpayer subsidy,” says ....

POPSTell President Obama to Cut Off ACORN Now! Petition long-term care and insurance premiums. Men and Women in Uniform We must support the men and women who protect our nation. That means giving them the tools and equipment they need, as well as the benefits and moral support they have earned. I support tax benefits to help ease the financial burdens our citizen-warriors and their families face and updated, improved GI Bill education benefits. And we must also support our first responders, who put their lives on the line to protect us in our homes, businesses, and communities. I was proud to have the MN Police and Peace Officers Association endorse my TRACK Sex Offenders Act, which gives law enforcement and officers the tools they need to keep us safe from sexual predators.

POPSPalin Vs. Kerry.. So much energy resources for Alaska and the US, but the current governmental climate will not allow for such things, True of our state also. America is being ham strung. Our government is willfully undermining our productivity for the purpose of The Lie and their own agenda. America has all the resources to be nationally independent but the politics of Washington have bound us for geo-political purposes.

POPSGOP Sen.: Electoral Rout McCain's Fault Am I the only one who sees that freedom and "religious-based values" are often contradictory? After all, the Taliban has "religious-based values." DeMint in his own words: McCain, who is proponent of campaign finance reform that weakened party organizations and basically put George Soros in the driver's seat. His proposal for amnesty for illegals. His support of global warming, cap-and-trade programs that will put another burden on our economy. And of course, his embrace of the bailout right before the election was probably the nail in our coffin this last election. And he has been an opponent of drilling in ANWR, at a time when energy is so important. It really didn't fit the label, but he was our package. I totally called this . DeMint -- and a lot of GOPers -- believe they lost because they weren't crazy enough. Good news for Democrats in future elections.

POPSJobcreating Business Leaders Chose McCain Over Obama
CEOs support renewables but not a renewables-only policy. They support going after more fossil fuels by a 6 to 1 ratio for now. For example, Michael J. Leib, president of Hazleton Casting Co., summed up the general attitude of CEOs. "I am a strong proponent of a comprehensive energy policy, which includes drilling in all U.S. territories as well as harvesting oil from U.S. shale deposits he said. The backbone of our industrial economy is cost effective energy resources." They are in favor of international trade as evidenced by the 70.3 percent that would like to see trade restrictions loosened. Obama is viewed as particularly inexperienced when it comes to trade policy and understanding the links between free trade and growth, something President Bill Clinton knew well. McCain gets a solid B+ his highest grade on defense, and a B on foreign policy. Obama gets an almost failing D+ for each a grade that would not keep one in any school or employed very long at any business.
