POPSCredit crunch jokes It’s good to know investment bankers still have a sense of humor. I just these jokes in an email from some friends in finance. From the Wall Street Journal apparently.

POPSWells Fargo Attacked I post this for commentary purposes. We have had a huge rise in vandalism for political purposes here. Not just banks and it started before the market crash. I believe in these action in some circumstances. Some of these actions I believe accomplish little.

POPS Police: Ashley Todd's "Moment Of Truth" Investigators also said bank surveillance photos did not back up the woman's initial story of being attacked at an ATM. Police interviewed Todd after she contacted police Wednesday night and again on Thursday, Bryant said. They asked her to come back Friday, ostensibly to help police put together a sketch of the man. Instead, detectives began interviewing her. "They just started talking to her and she just opened up and said she wanted to tell the truth," Bryant said.

POPSWhy is the B mirror image? Try it yourself. Draw a B looking into a mirror and that's the way it would look. Why would an attacker do it mirror image? Would come out that way if she did it to herself. She might be looking for her 15 minutes of fame. She should have used O instead, that would have been more believable

POPSRage and Mutilation Time for McCain supporters in the liberal Northeast to arm themselves? And I'm sure this will all be the fault of the enraged Republicans at McCain Palin rallies - at least according to the media. I'm pretty sure if some black woman were beat up by an enraged white mugger who saw her Obama bumper sticker we would be told we were on the verge of race warfare. This will either be ignored - or just marked down as some random mugging - nothing to see, move along.

POPSPolice: McCain Worker Mugged; 'B' Carved Into Her Face The unidentified woman reportedly declined immediate medical attention last night but said she would go to the hospital today. The suspect ran off after the attack; but police are hoping that footage from bank surveillance camera may help lead them to the suspect. In an official statement the McCain campaign says: "We're shaken up by this. It's sick and disgusting." Governor Sarah Palin reportedly spoke with the victim by phone. Meanwhile, late this afternooon, the Obama-Biden campaign released a statement, saying: "This is a horrendous act of violence. Our thoughts and prayers are with the young woman for her to make a speedy recovery, and we hope that the person who perpetrated this crime is swiftly apprehended and brought to justice." follow link to view video http://kdka.com/politics/McCain.Campaign.Worker.2.847449.html

POPSMy other Skagen watch What can I say about this watch ... sleek, stylish, under-stated, elegant and the blue sun-ray dial is exquisite! And the best bit ... I didn't pay the Skagen RRP because I bought it from QVCuk....

POPSRolling Over to Rescue the Bailout
contAll of cable and the networks are rolling over for their bellies to be scratched, helping the dodge that the bailout supporters were not really asking for a bailout, only a rescue. See? There was a great deal of hyperventilating last night on most of the talkies and news, sort of an "Oh No! What have we done!" chorus: We misnamed the rescue a bailout. Missing from this steady stream of thumb-sucking was any mention of the substantive reasons voters were outraged. What precisely was in the bailout bill for taxpayers, homeowners, renters? Was there any real cap on the greedy executive compensation packages? Investment in job creation? Rescue for homeowners in foreclosure? Along with the Oh No What Have We Done is the mantra of The Great Credit Freeze: small businesses won't be able to meet payroll; 401k and pension funds are cascading in value; there may not even be money in the ATM machine. The media herd, incredulous that its losing supporters of the bailout, is re-tool
