Why don't we just hold the election today and be done with it? There is going to be nothing constructive from either of these two and only the media will benefit by collecting money to run their ads.

Fight the Right-Wing Smears
gingembre
by gingembre  10-4-2008    4
Sad to say, I know and receive email from people (including relatives) who have no problem forwarding right-wing lies and racist propaganda about Obama. I went to this site to have a good source of information to refute the hate emails and replied to all who received, and sent, the smear emails I have received. I encourage you to do the same if you have the misfortune to be sent trashy lies about Barack Obama. To say nothing is to condone the sending and receiving of such emails.

Rove criticizes McCain AND Obama ads

by n2sooners  9-14-2008    1
I have seen a number of liberal sites and even clips here that would lead you to believe Rove only criticized McCain and didn't say a word about Obama's ads or personal attacks. It is funny how they will dismiss anything Rove says because he is eeeevil until he says something they want to hear.

Rove: McCain Campaign 'Beyond the 100% Truth Test'
Wisco
by Wisco  9-14-2008
Boy Genius missteps and McCain's campaign of victimhood takes a little hit. The piece goes on: Obama campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor, echoing Obama campaign language from Saturday, quickly blasted out a statement saying: “In case anyone was still wondering whether John McCain is running the sleaziest, most dishonest campaign in history, today Karl Rove -- the man who held the previous record -- said McCain’s ads have gone too far.” Karl is so not getting the GOP Christmas bonus this year...

McCain's sex-ed lie "shameful; downright perverse"
masbury
by masbury  9-9-2008    5
Ad falsely accuses Obama of advocating explicit sex education for kindergartners; the Illinois Senate bill referred to recommended teaching kids to recognize inappropriate touching, encouraged teachers not to go along with "stork"-type myths; it never even suggested "sex education" in the way the ad portrays. McCain lies again.

One commenters response: "Your snarky sarcasm proves that McCain's ads are definitely arousing fear in those who do not wish McCain to win." We are in fear of a McBush win because America's downward spiral of world opinion towards us, our economy, or ethical and moral values, our morale as a nation under siege by neocon intelligence gathering goons at the NSA and Homeland security needs to stop and McBush has vowed to continue Bush's attack on all of us through his shredding of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Embedded reporters or Republican activists?
ratilfar
by ratilfar  8-9-2008    4
Cont.... "It's unremarkable to send reporters with thin journalistic credentials to Iraq, or to promise that journalists with a known political bias will report "objectively." Conservative and liberal publications send their preferred reporters to Iraq all the time, and their representatives come home, unsurprisingly, with differing conclusions. But what about sending political activists and GOP operatives to Iraq in the guise of journalists, with the cooperation of the U.S. military and on the taxpayers' dime, so that the activists can come home and proselytize for the Republican presidential candidate's position on the war?"

Gergen: McCain Using Code Words To Attack Obama As "Uppity"

The Senator's own mother, Roberta McCain, while acknowledging that she had not seen the Britney spot, called the idea "stupid." And Kathy Hilton, Paris' mother, took to the Huffington Post Sunday morning to deride McCain from dragging down the intellectual thrust of the campaign."

The Whiner that isn't Whining
DanaGarrett
by DanaGarrett  7-23-2008
Sen. John McMad can't make up his mind. The press was against him yesterday but today it wasn't. McCain has all the characteristics of a pathologically angry person. He acts rashly out of anger, then gets regrets about it and enters into a period of denial. He is too much of a loose cannon to be President.

McCain Running Against the Press
DanaGarrett
by DanaGarrett  7-22-2008
The press is saying good things about Obama. That can't be tolerated. It must mean the press is biased because good things are only supposed to be said about John McCain, a darling of the press for years. So McCain has decided to attack the press. In his desperation, he is taking a page from the paranoid days of Richard Nixon.

A Trifecta Of Gaffes Has Obama Taking Heat
merrie
by merrie  6-25-2008    3
By laughing not with, but at, Obama the mainstream media again demonstrated the type of emotional distance one might almost mistake for journalistic independence. (Conservative pundits have been mocking Obama’s elite iconography for some time.) For patriotic Americans holding traditional value this was a bit of civic blasphemy. The presumptuousness was only outdone by the lack of reverence for existing symbols of the U.S. Obama played the race card - loudly and blatantly. He suggested, with no evidence whatsoever, that Republicans were pointing to his race as a reason to question his fitness for the presidency. That tactic seemed further evidence that his effort to minimize race are over and he now intends to use race as a sword to attack his Republican opponent. It however is a potentially dangerous strategy, certain to turn off some segment of white voters who do not want to be bludgeoned by racial politics. Here Obama has done what weeks of McCain ads and speeches could not

Civilization's First Attack Ads - The Attack Poem
BobbyRutan
by BobbyRutan  4-27-2008    3
Here's a poem he directed at a rival (all translations are from Brooks Haxton's book Dances for Flute and Thunder from Viking Press): Swept overboard, unconscious in the breakers, strangled with seaweed, may you wake up in a gelid surf, your teeth, already cracked into the shingle, now set rattling by the wind, while facedown, helpless as a poisoned cur, on all fours you puke brine reeking of dead fish. May those you meet, barbarians as ugly as their souls are hateful, treat you to the moldy wooden bread of slaves. And may you, with your split teeth sunk in that, smile, then, the way you did when speaking as my friend.
