POPSWhat's Behind This? If this poll is correct how do we account for this large change in voting trends. Surely women are not stupid to be duped simply by a change in gender? If this is a shift based solely on gender then when the press is "allowed" to question Palin there should be a corresponding shift back due to her obvious extremist views on all social issues.

POPSSummary of the Democratic National Convention 08 With the DNC news the last ten days and all the clipmarkers I follow, I've been Popping and Commening till my fingers wore out. This has probably been the most incredible convention in USA America since the radical days and riot at the Democratic convention of 1968 -- when the Vietnam War and recent killings of Robert Kennedy and Martin Luther King had shattered the nation. This time the excitement is for a lot more better reasons and the thousands of protesters are at the Republican National Convention, where they belong. With all the clipping and popping and comments swirling around this I thought that perhaps my web page summary of the DNC might be of some value. It has video links to all major speeches, all live music performances, a few video tributes, a quick clip of kicking out Fox News, etc. -- all the good stuff. Note: The permanent bookmark for this page is at: http://www.americancitizenstogether.org/ACT/ACT_080831.html

POPSWas Barack's Surprise Visit a Sign He Knows It's Going Badly? But when you've got the messiah's image to protect, then you've got to scrap the purpose of the convention if it's going to make him look bad. That's not a good sign. Exit question: since the entire purpose of the convention, the roll call of the states, was thrown out the window, how does this even remain a convention? How is it different from one huge campaign ad?

POPSChristian Recruiters I couldn't help but picture this "harvest" as the missionaries lop off peoples critical thinking with their dogmatic blades.

POPSCops To Enforce Pot Laws At Convention City Council member Doug Linkhart, who sits on the marijuana enforcement panel, said he believes police have made pot possession a low priority and doesn’t think there will be any problem during the convention. "Check out the "pot plant" “The ordinance says lowest priority, it doesn’t say stop prosecuting. I’m not concerned police will get carried away. I want police to focus on what’s important, and I expect they will,” Linkhart said.

POPSWe Like Ike? Not At Denver's Brown Palace Hotel and Spa
Eisenhower Presidential Suite Dumped Renamed Barack Obama Suite Shannon Dexheimer, public relations manager for The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, recently explained that the reason for renaming the suite, was that the hotel, “wanted to do it to symbolize honoring him as the candidate for the Democrats, and honoring the fact that we played such a huge role 100 years ago when this convention (Democrat) was here last." The hotel has four named suites, three presidential suites, the Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, and Teddy Roosevelt, and a suite named for the Beatles in honor of their one night stay in the hotel in August, 1966. There are also several unnamed suites on the eighth and ninth floors of the hotel. Why take a chance at angering half the voting public, by making the switch? Only the management at the Brown Palace can answer that, but the smart thing would have been to temporarily turn one of several other unnamed suites into the Obama Suite.

POPSDRILL HERE. DRILL NOW. DRILL AL Satellite imagery reveals that despite protests by Greenazi groups of “damage to pristine forestation!”, the area targeted for drilling is, in fact barren of any foliage whatsoever. The first glimpse of gore’s “flesh tone beanie” at the democrat convention in august 2000 when he embraced Leo DiCaprio after a long and passionate “global pants warming” tongue kiss hailed by the media and gay activists. ________________ *Of course, initial drilling in ANBR may result in the expelling of some very smug & toxic hot air, but we think this can be kept to a minimum. In any case, there is no debating or denying these facts: Ancient civilizations, all of which are infinitely superior to our own, used skull drilling to cure cancer, celebrate diversity, and save the earth. Plus, these cultures that we could learn so much from were progressive enough to reject the use of gas guzzling ambulances, as well as energy wasting hospitals!

POPSDenver's Convention And "South Park's" Playbook C'mon, Barack's refined sensibilities are such that he feels unclean in the presence of non-bilinguals; surely he can't be asked to suffer close proximity to the destitute. In the "South Park" episode Night Of the Living Homeless, the Colorado mountain town is overrun by its panhandling population and nearly destroyed, until someone has the bright idea to bus them all off to California. Night of the Living Homeless http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_of_the_Living_Homeless "Southpark" video at site. 2:10 minutes

POPSWait Until Convention It's doubtful this will happen, but the possibility of Obama waiting to announce his running mate until the convention brings visions of a very intriguing night of TV. One major problem, of course, will be the selection leaking out before it's announced, all but sucking the wind right out of the big decision

POPSMilitary Conducts Un-routine Psy-Op on Denver Two words: Posse Comitatus. All this coincidentally in advance of DNC convention. This is the strongest form of creating irrational fear about "terrorism", including hyper-paranoid police and military preparations, which could lead to over-reaction during possible convention protests. Pure propaganda, pure psy-op, to indoctrinate and influence the CONTEXT of the DNC political convention. If nothing to hide, then why the secrecy about which branch of the military was involved? They will not answer in depth questions.

POPSCNN VP Poll a Little Light on Analysis CNN's been pounding this poll into the ground and their reporting, while true, is a little misrepresentative. First, 54% is all that big a majority. And it doesn't really represent some groundswell of support. What it shows is that people are, for the most part, unimaginative. Clinton's in the news, Obama's in the news, Obama/Clinton just pops into people's heads naturally. It's later in the piece that we get to the meat: Twenty-four percent of those polled said that even if Obama names someone else as his running mate, Clinton should try to override that decision at the Democratic convention in Denver in August. But 75 percent said that would not be a good idea. In other words, not many would be all that put out if it isn't Clinton. CNN's "dems want Hillary" reporting is a little off-center.

POPSBarack Obama declares victory: Full speech The following remarks are the text as prepared for Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., on June 3, 2008, his first speech after declaring victory in the Democratic nomination contest over Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y. The speech was delivered in St. Paul, Minnesota, site of the Republican National Convention in August 2008.
