Waiting for the Light...

"The quality of light influences how we react to what we see, whether we’re looking at a landscape, a building, a person, a picture, whatever. Because the effect takes place on an almost subliminal level, most people go through life totally unaware of it happening"

Cheap Remortgage UK : The Easy And Best Deal
gerrysops

When you are stuck in a mortgage, it is difficult to get out of it. It is even more unbearable for the borrower when he is aware that there are other offerings that allows a lower interest rate and could have saved money for him. The best solution for this problem is to take up a bad credit remortgage and save money for the future.

Nov 11 1918: INGLORIUS Date in US Army records (hidden)
ratcatcher2
by ratcatcher2  11-9-2008    3
In the few short hours before 11am of 11/11/1918, United States army casualties were in EXCESS of 3,000 . This was hugely in excess of ALL loses of ALL the other armies!!! Did US men have a death-wish? No, but US generals were quite willing to expend their men's lives on whims! In one instance there were 300 casualties to capture a bath house. So that officers could bath in luxury, 300 died. They was a subsequent inquiry. Its findings were judged so damaging to the US army image that it was never published. Data courtesy of BBC

Newsweek Editors: “Creepy,” “Deeply Manipulative,” “Creature”
merrie
by merrie  11-9-2008    4
THOMAS: He writes about this metaphor being a screen upon which Americans will project. He said they want of Barack Obama; I’m not sure I am Barack Obama. We don’t know anything about him. It’s creepy, never seen a victory speech with nobody on stage, what is this making fun of Biden, by the way? ROSE: Mmm! THOMAS: He had — he has the self-awareness to know that this creature he’s designed isn’t necessarily a real person, and he’s self-aware enough – ROSE: Ahhhhhh! RUSH: Ahhhh. Charlie Rose, light goes on, ahhhh. Self-aware enough to know that this creature he’s designed isn’t necessarily a real person. That is fear. These guys are looking at Obama and they’ve seen him the exact way we have, all of this time. They only now after they think they got him into office are now starting to talk about their fears about how nobody knows anything about him, his resume is thin, he’s only written two books, and they’re autobiographies, we don’t know what other books he’s read. Enduring Progressive Majority Appears Pretty Slim
merrie
by merrie  11-7-2008    1
WASHINGTON (CNN) – A new report from American University’s Center for the Study of the American Electorate concludes that voter turnout in Tuesday’s election was the same in percentage terms as it was four years ago — or at most has risen by less than 1 percent. The report released Thursday estimates that between 126.5 and 128.5 million Americans cast ballots in the presidential election earlier this week. Those figures represent 60.7 percent or, at most, 61.7 percent of those eligible to vote in the country. “A downturn in the number and percentage of Republican voters going to the polls seemed to be the primary explanation for the lower than predicted turnout,” the report said. Compared to 2004, Republican turnout declined by 1.3 percentage points to 28.7 percent, while Democratic turnout increased by 2.6 points from 28.7 percent in 2004 to 31.3 percent in 2008.
