POPSGovernment health care rescues protesters at anti-government health care rally. By the end of the day, “medics had administered government-run health care to at least five people in the crowd who were stricken as they denounced government-run health care.” Bachmann=proof that being severely developmentally and emotionally delayed does not preclude Government service. Ironically, she's the best argument that the government should not be running anything.

POPSDana Milbank Is, as Mark Levin Describes Him, "A Punk, a Liar and a Coward"
Constitutional attorney, bestselling author and hit radio show host Mark Levin certainly doesn't mince words. Alerted to Milbank's latest hit piece in The Washington Post, Levin called Milbank out as a propagandist of the first order. The reason: out of literally tens of thousands of patriotic signs and shirts at Thursday's Capitol Hill protest, Milbank picked out a handful as supposedly representative of a crowd he described as "hateful and gruesome." An outraged Levin called Milbank a "punk, a liar and a coward" while challenging him to a debate on his show. Here's a Nazi reference that Milbank might appreciate: I think of him as the Josef Goebbels of his age. He writes patent propaganda in service of the State. And I can prove it. Bubba visited DC for the rally and wandered through the crowd for hours taking scores of photos. I created a montage -- click to zoom if you'd like read the dozens of visible messages -- from his collection.

POPSGOP prefers teabagging over governing Oh, this is just too freakin' funny! Priceless, really. :-D I love the comments, too! Especially the one from "Dorn 76" - November 6, 2009 1:49 PM "The day HCR finally comes up for a vote we'll just tell these idiots some teabaggers and Fox News cameras are outside making a ruckus."

POPSShhhh! Census Worker May Have Committed Suicide * The Democratic Underground quickly posted a ‘Handy Guide to how Republicans and Fox News are responsible for Census worker being hanged'. * Rachel Maddow suggested Sparkman was killed simply because ‘he was a federal employee'. * Time chalked it up to government distrust, a sentiment fanned by ‘talk media, tea parties and white-hot town-hall meetings'. * The Huffington Post immediately assumed this was a case of right-wing paranoia. * True/Slant opined that the body of Sparkman should be shipped to Glenn Beck. * Think Progress pointed the finger at Michelle Bachman and her ‘inflammatory and fear-mongering rhetoric against the Census'. * New York Magazine linked the death to that of ‘some wide-eyed, hysterical woman' named Michelle Bachman. (The irony in this is that the reference to a wide-eyed, hysterical woman was made in an article mentioning Nancy Pelosi).

POPSHated Roosevelt, Hate Obama: Paleoconservative Persuasions
Nock saw the state as “them,” not “us,” and “them” really came to mean Roosevelt. You must know that Roosevelt was hated by many during the Great Depression. Not disliked, hated. The laissez faire crowd saw every move toward government relief of intolerable conditions as government self-aggrandizement—Nock’s term, not mine. Despite the fact that people were desperate in the streets, extreme-sport capitalists saw only usurpation of the powers of the church (as the precursor to the modern social relief agency) and the individual—that old fall-back, the rugged individual—Nock’s term, not mine. Professor Nock pulls no punches. With a Beckian flourish he proclaims, “This regime was established by a coup d'État of a new and unusual kind, practicable only in a rich country.” Yup. A coup d’etat. You almost want to ask for Mr. Roosevelt’s birth certificate. Nock’s antipathy to Roosevelt knew few boundaries. Perversely, Nock saw in the New Deal, “the erection of po

POPSMark Levin (Rally Video)It’s On and IT’S MASSIVE– “Kill the Bill Rally” In DC! … As a crowd of protesters shouted “kill the bill,” House Republicans on Thursday rallied opposition against the Democrats’ health care legislation, decrying the bill on the steps of Congress in a last-ditch bid to derail or at least delay the legislation heading toward a possible vote Saturday. Thousands of protesters arrived by bus for the rally, which the GOP is calling an emergency “House Call.” The event drew the conservative “tea party” activists but unlike past rallies was officially sanctioned by House Republicans. Republicans want those who attend to track down their elected representatives in Congress and put pressure on them to think twice about voting for the more than $1 trillion health care overhaul pushed by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. “They’re going to listen,” said Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., who originally called for the rally. “The biggest voice in the United States is your voice.”

POPSSorry Ass News For A Sunday Morning Did you ever pick up a newspaper and wished you hadn't? Well that's what happened to me this morning. It wasn't an actual real time Newspaper but in today's world it was a Newsdig but I still wished that I hadn't clicked! First it was a, Health Care {NO} Reform won by the Health Care and insurance Industry. Then the gloom and doom news from Afghanistan. It's enough to make you put on a pair of rose colored glasses or stick your head in the sand. But alas, I can't do that, because then I would become part of the (Sarah Palin - Michele Bachmann et al ) crazy lunatic fringe mob on the right!

POPSIn Mich. Being a Good Neighbor Is Against the Law When I opened this article this morning... I thought... GOOD GRIEF, I know we live in a Topsy-Turvy Society but this takes the cake! Wacko laws aren't new, there are probably endless piles of them still on the books somewhere in this land of ours. But please give me a break...! Acting upon them even though common sense is blatantly smacking you in the face is not only beyond the pale, it takes mindlessness to another plane. Move over Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin et al... In Michigan there are regulators who oversee child care, that make you guys look like amateurs in the screwy sphere of absurdity.

POPSSetting Up Temp.Census Workers For Murder In 1999, I was hired as a temp to do census work through the state employment commission. Back then, the news media riled up the people by saying that scam artists were preying on senior citizens by posing as census workers. Made my little temp job somewhat dangerous as well as a major pain in the tookus. Well, here they go again... And, mind you, a U.S census, every 10 years is required per the Constitution. So, yeah. I hold the media, the exposure-hungry "conservative" loudmouths AND the hands-on murderer(s) responsible for Sparkman's death. The old folks say that if you lie down with dogs, you'll get up with fleas.

POPS Is Obamacare Constitutional? “The Tenthers.” I recently started seeing a few references to this term in the standard places, Alternet, ThinkProgress, and elsewhere. But now it seems to have come from on high like the NeoCons did with every new buzzword during the Bush years. In fact, its usage has come on so fast and so regularly that someone over at the Washington Times picked up on the newly-approved jargon: Health care reform supporters at the Center for American Progress, the American Prospect, MSNBC and other outlets have deployed the term against Republicans who cite the 10th Amendment as reason not to create new programs. Some of the leading Republican proponents of the allegedly “dangerous” and “conspiratorial” theory include Sens. Tom Coburn of Oklahoma and Jim DeMint of South Carolina, and Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota. “As the nation emerges from the worst economic downturn in three generations, the tenthers would strip away the very reforms and economic

POPSBachmann Demands Investigation and Suspension of Taxpayer Funding to ACORN by Publius
In order to immediately stop taxpayer dollars from funding ACORN, Bachmann is requesting the IRS revoke ACORN’s tax exempt status; the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) halt any current funding; and the HUD Suspension and Debarment Committee suspend any future access to funding until ACORN cleans up its operation. learn about the 11 ACORN workers arrested for voter registration or click here to view video of the Baltimore prostitution investigation. Text of the letter to the U.S. Census Bureau provided below: September 11, 2009 Mr. Robert M. Grovers Director U.S. Census Bureau 4600 Silver Hill Rd. Suitland, MD 20746 This week the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), a current participant in the Census Bureau’s Planning Partnership Program for the 2010 Census, once again made unsavory headlines. On Wednesday, FBI and state authorities charged 11 ACORN employees with voter registration fraud in Miami,

POPSBachmann: Dems are sabotaging me because I might become president You have got to be kidding me. You and Sarah Palin sabotaged yourselves by showing your collective ignorance and battiness. You already stated that if it is God’s will to run for president then you will run. Well, Michelle, if it is God’s will then what could Dems possibly do to stop you, right?

POPS"I've given birth here probably more times than you, sir," Bachmann was in the middle of highlighting a story about 4,000 U.K. women forced by a lack of hospital beds to give birth in hospital hallways, when the heckler became too loud to ignore. "That happens here!" the heckler shouted. "Not here," Bachmann attempted to argue. When the heckler insisted she was wrong, Bachmann responded with an impromptu zinger: "I've given birth here probably more times than you, sir," she said. The gathered crowd erupted in laughter.

POPSRepublicans fear Public Option Healthcare becaise IT'S CHEAPER more: Bachmann’s statement echoes the sentiments expressed by Rep. John Kline in an interview with Minnesota Public Radio’s Tom Crann in late June . He also said that millions of people will flock to the cheaper insurance plan, also called the public option. ...our fear is that if you actually get in there looking at the legislation that it’s set up in a way that employers would increasingly opt to letting their employees move over to the public, to the public option. And because it is cheaper, it’s designed to save money , the government-run program has some very clear advantages. Republicans care more about corporate profits than getting affordable healthcare for ALL AMERICANS. PUBLIC HEALTHCARE NOW!
