POPSCO2, A Breath Of Fresh Air
CO2 is being labelled a pollutant but is it? Climate alarmism depends on catastrophe. In itself CO2 is a life giver. As a combination of Oxygen and Carbon it represents life itself. We are built from carbon as is every other life form and again like every other life form Oxygen is the fuel we must have to survive. How can the very elements that build us and fuel us and every other life form be a pollutant? The main case being made against our fossil fuel habit is that we are releasing carbon stored over millennia into the atmosphere in a relatively short period of time. Is that necessarily a bad thing in itself? We certainly need to conserve natural resources but the fact is that after several billion years of life on Earth the Earth’s crust is simply awash with carbon in one form or another. However, the demonisation of fossil fuels and CO2 before the globe has removed poverty and allowed less developed nations to share in worldwide prosperity is an obscenity.

POPSThe UK's Cushy Prisons Interesting article. The challenging of cartoon stereotypes of prisons as hotels, criminals as monsters and the right function of prison being to punish and degrade as much as possible: the slow, bit by bit intervention of the rehabilitation element of a civilized judiciary.

POPSThink I grow increasingly worried about man and his thoughts! When reading or watching the world as it is today, we can see what man has on his mind and unfortunately it is not the good, but the evil in mans mind that is winning. We see the continual search for the better weapons in which to kill each other, the growing hunger and killing of our children, the continuing raping of Mother Earth, with no respite in the future. We must look to our Grandfathers for guidance, however for the People of the Earth and I speak of the Indigenous Peoples who at one time lived and breathed the life of Mother Earth, it will be easier, not so for the others who live for greed with every waking breath. The destruction of man will come from within, so pray to the Great Spirit that the others will come to respect and seek the guidance of our Earth Mother and that of the People of the Earth, before it is to late. POPSCould Road Running make you crazy? I've often thought that you'd have to be mad to go for a run anyway...this news story has only confirmed my suspicions that too much jogging...in particular, road running - could make you go a little loopy. Running in heavy traffic, inhaling all that diesel.....it was never going to be good...but this new research paints a pretty bleak picture for man and dog who like to jog. No mention of inhaling Unleaded fumes....perhaps the answer for those who simply must jog in and around traffic...is to hold your breath whenever you see a truck or land rover?

POPSSay NO To United Nations Law Of The Sea Treaty After receiving great pressure from the White House the Senate Foreign Relations Committee approved the treaty by a margin of (17-4) on October 31, leading to speculation that a final ratification vote will take place very soon. The Petition States: As an American citizen, I am signing this petition opposing Senate ratification of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS or “Law of the Sea Treaty”). The Law of the Sea Treaty is a dangerous threat to our nation’s sovereignty. It places the United States under an international authority, subjects our nation to direct taxation by the United Nations and could hamper our military. The Law of the Sea Treaty is a bad idea that was rejected by Ronald Reagan and should be rejected by the U.S. Senate now. I urge you to vote against ratification of the Law of the Sea Treaty.

POPSAnn Coulter To Campaign For Hillary Clinton:::And Here's Why
Is a pro-abortion socialist-in-everything-but-name Hillary Clinton administration preferable to a McCain administration? Coulter: McCain's record is as bad and liberal as Hillary's. But her badness is expressed when she's seeking Democrats' votes. If McCain were in front of Democrats he'd sound like Herbert Marcuse. And don't tell me McCain is better on the war. Campaigning in front of Code Pink types, Hillary has repeatedly said she will hit terrorists hard, and hedged her bets (thereby losing votes) on whether she'd execute a quick pullout from Iraq. This probably makes her as tough as McCain, especially since he's busy sniffling into his handkerchief about the tragedy of Guantanamo. As to the domestic commie stuff Hillary peddles, I think she'll do a lot less damage than McCain, because he would co-opt Republican congressmen. They would fight Hillary. We're imperiled by both of them but I think Hilary presents fewer risks.

POPSThe Diving Horses of Atlantic City ‘The riders (all women) would suffer one or two broken bones a year. Most of the injuries came from getting out of the pool of paddling hooves. They made it look easy, but it wasn’t. Years ago a rider by the name of Sonora Carver (in the late 1920’s) went blind from a bad impact with the water. The jump was sixty feet at that time, but was then lowered to forty."
