POPSObama and McCain Walk Into a Bar ... :) The second category was reported to appeal to liberals because of their “openness to ideas” and their tendency to “seek new experiences.” But then why didn’t the liberals in the Boston experiment like the nonsense humor? "Conservatives tend to be happier than liberals in general" now this is interesting. liberal outlook leads to dissatisfaction with the world as it is, and a sense that things need to change . I agree :)

POPSRational Disagreement or Rabid Hatred? Click the link to read this entire article; it makes some very good points. Drawing equivalences between right-wingers and left-wingers is not a valid exercise. The Democrats (and Liberals) see their differences from the Republicans (and Conservatives) as a nuanced disagreement of ideals, while Republicans see it as an absolute battle of Good vs. Evil. They aren't opposing Obama because they disagree with his platform; they are against him because they think he's evil. He's been called the Anti-Christ (critical study of Revelations will reveal that he's too old). At rallies, people are screaming to kill him, and cut off his head. It's come to the point where you can't even take it for granted that Republicans accept the fact that Obama is human, just like McCain. This Republican base is acting on a very primitive level, like a lizard-brain, with no critical thought about what they're doing or why they oppose him.

POPSPaulson to the rescue...so much for free markets I honestly don't know enough to know whether the federal bailouts we're seeing are good ideas that will help the economy. But i do know enough to know that they are contrary to everything a free, open, capitalist economy stands for. And that freaks me out...because i just can't imagine how bad things must be out there that free market politicians are supporting these types of government intervention.

POPSAnne Has Known Sarah Palin Since 1992 You have to read the clipped source for the full value of the remarks. Much more in the original text of the letter than the clip can show. Anne suggests that you Google her name and you will see that she is the real deal. She lays bare both the good and the bad about Sarah.

POPSGermany's Small Town Power Solution They actually sell their excess power at a premium to the grid. Without the laws Germany has on the books, America does not have these laws, it would not work. Now it works because people realize, there are jobs and money to be had, plus energy independence and environmental protection. Daenemark is one of the Scandinavian Countries where this also is wide spread. Too bad, America is so far behind in laws and environmental protection.

POPSGamer Kid Parents = Epic Fail I am a gamer and a parent, this kid is unbelievable. His parents are the worst case of bad parenting that I have seen in a while, they may not be beating him but honestly? Maybe they should. And kick themselves while they're at it...

POPSToo Dumb To Succeed? "In any case, remember this the next time someone calls for an end to partisanship, for working together to solve the country’s problems. It’s not going to happen — not as long as one of America’s two great parties believes that when it comes to politics, stupidity is the best policy."

POPSHersh: Cheney meeting discusses ways to provoke Iran to war "why don’t we build—we, in our shipyard—build four or five boats that look like Iranian PT boats, put Navy Seals on them with a lot of arms, and, the next time one of our boats goes through the Straits of Hormuz, start a shoot-up" Who are the bad guys here?

POPSUnhappy America - The Economist print edition Well-said: "The faster China and India grow, the more American goods they buy. And they are booming largely because they have adopted America’s ideas. America should regard their success as a tribute, not a threat, and celebrate in it."

POPSCool Ideas for Hot Dogs I've seen so many stupid animal owners, but it's never too late to get some "know-how". At this time of year, the warmth is often animals worst enemy. Take care of your dog, cat or whatever you have decided to give love and shelter. Don't be one of the bad statistic.

POPSA Clear Majority Of Americans Want To Drill Here Al Gore, philanthropist, Climate activist, and winner of the Nobel Peace prize, is the single greatest advocate in the war against humanity. Millions of innocent lives, people whose only crime is being poor. We need to protect not only others wellbeing, but our own freedoms, our own rights. We need to defend ourselves from Eco-Terrorist ideas, perpetuated by cheap theatrics and scaremongering. We need to defend ourselves against Eco Evangelist Al Gore. Energy Independence: President Bush asks Congress to lift the 1981 drilling ban on offshore oil. The no-drill Democrats will call it flip-flopping. We call it change you can believe in. The Democratic response to Republican determination to end our dependence on foreign oil has been to call for more taxes on oil companies and to pressure, even sue, OPEC. A group of 10 Democratic senators on Tuesday called for Bush to file a complaint against OPEC. http://www.smartgreenusa.com/

POPSMcCain's Playbook: Hate, Fear and Caveman Politics ..in!" McCain is enthusiastically jumping aboard with every low-rent, fearmongering, cock-sucking presidential aspirant who's ever traveled the Lee Atwater/William Safire highway. Even the briefest of surveys of the supporters gracing McCain's events underscores the kind of red-meat appeal he's making. Immediately after his speech in New Orleans, a pair of sweet-looking old ladies put down their McCain signs long enough to fill me in on why they're here. "I tell you," says one, "if Michelle Obama really doesn't like it here in America, I'd be very pleased to raise the money to send her back to Africa."
