POPSMore Peter Schiff Vs. The Barbarians Peter Schiff Speaks for 1 Percent at Occupy Wall Street Last week, Reason.tv followed investment guru, radio show host, and unflappable defender of capitalism Peter Schiff as he spent three hours among the Occupy Wall Street protesters in Manhattan's Zuccotti Park. http://bit.ly/tO0Q3z http://www.youtube.com (18:46) Here's a question for these guys: When I work -- when I work, sporadic though that is lately -- I do so primarily for money. Why do you guys work? (I mean, "you guys" as in "the guys in this video.") Altruism? You just show up for your jobs, and would do so, whether paid or not, because you're dedicated to doing work on behalf of others? Hmmm... I sort of doubt that. I think you guys (again, the guys in this video) are working for the same reason as Peter Schiff: Money. Which is, in turn, simply a convenient unit of exchange for the most precious commodity in the world: Time.

POPSObama’s Arab winter President Obama is empowering radical Islam across the Arab world. From the Middle East to North Africa, the Arab Spring has turned into an Islamist winter. Contrary to the administration’s claims, the popular uprisings have not led to a “rebirth of freedom”. And Mr. Obama’s greatest failure is Iraq. Like emperors in the final days of Rome, our leaders can pretend that the barbarians pose no imminent threat. Everyone knows, however, that Mr. Obama is simply managing America’s decline. His warm embrace of the Arab Spring as a pro-democracy movement simply camouflages the sad reality of our time: The Islamists are rising, threatening freedom wherever they tread.
